Description
Button Mapper can remap most physical or capacitive keys and buttons, such as volume buttons, some assist buttons, and capacitive home, back and recent apps keys. Button Mapper can also remap buttons on many gamepads, remotes and other peripheral devices.
Root is not required for most actions, however some require an adb command from a connected PC if not rooted. Button Mapper does not work when the screen is off unless your device is rooted or you run an adb command.
A few examples of remapping you can do with Button Mapper:
-long press to toggle your flashlight
-remap your TV remote control
-press to broadcast custom intents, scripts or commands
-long press to open camera and take a photo
-double tap to launch your favorite app or shortcut
-double tap to open your notifications
-swap your back and recent apps keys (capacitive buttons only!)
-use your volume buttons to adjust screen brightness

Troubleshooting:
-Make sure Button Mapper accessibility service is enabled and allowed to run in the background
-Button Mapper does not work with onscreen buttons (such as soft keys or the navigation bar) or the power button.
-The options shown in the app depend on the buttons available on your phone. Not all phones have home, back and recents buttons!
This app uses Accessibility services. Accessibility is used to detect when the physical or capacitive buttons are pressed on your device so they can be remapped to custom actions to accommodate your needs. It is not used to see what you type. Button Mapper does not collect or share any of your personal information, it is safe and your privacy is respected.
This app uses the Device Administrator permission. (BIND_DEVICE_ADMIN)
This permission is used to lock the screen if the "Turn screen off" action is chosen. If you want to remove this permission, open Button Mapper, click on the menu (three dots in the upper right corner) and select "Uninstall"

Button Mapper: Remap your keys 3.35 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to change the Z-order of tasks.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to read or write the system settings.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Marker permission for applications that wish to access notification policy.
Allows an application to modify global audio settings.
Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.
Allows an application to read or write the secure system settings.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows applications to change network connectivity state.
Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.
Allows applications to perform I/O operations over NFC.
Allows an application to read the low-level system log files.
Allows an application to request deleting packages.
Allows an application to collect component usage statistics
Declaring the permission implies intention to use the API and the user of the device can grant permission through the Settings application.

1 ★ The restore purchases will not work. I am certain I am logged into the same Google play account that originally made the purchase of the Pro version. The button just depresses and nothing happens. Hey, it may have been purchased in 2022, but it does say forever......
3 ★ used it on TCL Google tv. works as advertised. Downside was, I loose long press from volume buttons. edit tried everything, but I don't get long-press feature. in the buttons long-press is a paid feature. so this makes the app not useable for me. it doesn't work using long press. it's not acting like default behavior. I tried long press and nothing happens. only single click works
1 ★ The Windows app just fails. It will connect, but when I click on enable Bixby remapping and start simulate key codes it just says "failed". It does not provide any reason or further information. I have followed all the instructions without success. I will change this to five stars if I ever figure it out.
5 ★ great app! but it would be even better if I could map the settings of bed time mode to a button.
