Download the latest NetGuard - no-root firewall application, version 2.332, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Tools app is developed by Marcel Bokhorst, FairCode BV and is easy to download and install.

Description
Applications and addresses can individually be allowed or denied access to your Wi-Fi and/or mobile connection. Root permissions are not required.
Blocking access to the internet can help:

NetGuard uses the Android VPNService to route traffic to itself, so it can be filtered on-device instead of on a server. Only one app can use this service at the same time, which is a limitation of Android.

App permissions
NetGuard - no-root firewall 2.332 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows access to the vibrator.

4 ★ Very good firewall, with lots of options.
2 ★ Many issues. For starters it won't block Google services and Google Play store. I noticed almost 14 MB used without my permission (background disabled). This app requires full background data access. It also acts as a VPN to block some apps. This results in high battery consumption. Uninstalled.
4 ★ didn't work for ad blocking while playing on s22 ultra android 14
3 ★ the funny thing is that an apk version would do a better job at stopping ads since most ads that you are trying to block come from the play store so using an app that is from the play store to try to block ads that come from the play store most likely won't work well for you. but it still has some uses and it's not entirely useless. though most likely not what you are looking for. Your best bet is using blockada apk since it's not from the play store.
5 ★ I upgraded to the pro version to unlock all the features but mostly to say "thank you" for such an awesome app. I found it very easy to configure and I can block wifi and data separately for each app on my phone. This is fantastic and it works perfectly. The only thing to be aware of is not to run your battery very low or your phone itself may stop this firewall app running in the background to save power.
