Alameda is located in the north of the province of Malaga (Spain), in the center of Andalusia, being just 45 minutes from the Costa del Sol, about 100 km. from Córdoba and Granada, and just over an hour from Seville. Its municipal area covers 64 km2 of extension, its altitude with respect to sea level is 425 m., with the Camorra peak being its most considerable height (686 m.) and the lowest being the bed of the Genil river (245 m. .) north of the term.
