ev.energy: Home EV Charging 3.10.0 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.

Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.

Allows applications to change network connectivity state.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

2 ★ Ticket sent in but never replied, smart charging doesn't work as advertised or at all. The simplest of features missing such as custom start/stop times, even after entering my tariff the costs aren't even close to accurate.

3 ★ Update: car's delayed charging was being turned off such if I plugged the car in it would start to charge immediately. Today did that but then refreshed the app and the app turned on delayed charging, now I am waiting to find out if I have to do that on the app proactively or if the app's back end process will handle it.

1 ★ Terrible, never detects car in the dashboard, no option to delete car, when ever I enable smart charging the charger stops working, there is no Boost button because the app can't tell when car is connect. No response from support. Pure rubbish, going to return my charger for a brand that does not use this app.

5 ★ *Update* Originally a one star but the support I've had has been exceptional and, with the support I've received, the app is now working perfectly with my charger. Doesn't see the car when it's plugged in. Sometimes charges sometimes doesn't. Russian roulette to see if I've got enough charge to get to work is my new pass time.

1 ★ It will drain your 12v battery and mess with your app password. My Ford Mach-E app keeps resetting my password during suspicious activity, and now my car is telling me the 12v battery is getting drained, and I need to keep the car plugged in. This never happened until I connected to this app.

1 ★ Useless. Was okay when I first installed it but when I tried to "smart" charge it went haywire. The charger turned off when I had the cheapest energy and now the app says that I used 319kwh of electric in just one day and the charger wasn't even on at the mains for most of that day.

2 ★ My has started only charging my car when on smart charge now. Do not seem to be able to switch smart charge off now. Keeps coming up are you sure you won't to do this , but know where to press yes !!. Fed up with this app now. I have a Rolec car charger

1 ★ App never registers that the car's plugged in to charge when the smart charging mode is on. I'm constantly having to remember to turn smart charging off after plugging the car in, refreshing this app until it registers that the car is plugged in (the BMW APP would have popped up about 5 mins before saying that it's charging) and then turn smart charging back on so that it charges on the cheaper rate. The app will not allow the car to charge at all if the app thinks the car isn't plugged in.

1 ★ Terrible app. Control of charging seems random. Usually does not keep cost below rate set. Customer support slow and unhelpful...usually wanting to blame the car, cable or something else for not working correctly. If I could choose not to have this app I would, but ev charge unit cannot work without it. I regret my a rolec Wallpod because of this app.

2 ★ Don't think the "algorithm" works that good to be honest. I'm with agile octopus and rates are usually low overnight. Last night rates were around zero and below but it wanted me to set a minimum price of 17p for it to charge by 7am. Looking at the stats it started charging at 21:30 when rates were still high but was finished charging by 3am so missed out on 4 hours of me getting paid by octopus to use electricity. It would be better if I there was an option to pick your own time for it to start

1 ★ Seems like a scam to rob your EV information such location. The number of specific chargers that qualify you as a participant, is very limited. But, the question is asked after all your information has been recorded. This is very upsetting to one that tries hard to keep information from spammers. Update: I'm all for volunteering and helping to develop better venues, tools, etc. But, I'm highly opposed to being tricked into providing all of my information, and then being told, unquantified.

3 ★ App regularly fails with suggestion to force stop. That doesn't fix the issue. Without the app working, smart charging fails and my car therefore doesn't get charged. App works perfectly sometimes though. So it is inconsistent.

2 ★ There is an issue with this app connecting to Ford pass excessively resulting in Ford Disabling Ford accounts constantly or prompting users to reset their Ford password.

1 ★ Sadly this app does NOT work with Tesla chargers. You have to give this European company token access to your full Tesla account. They only support non-tesla home chargers, which is ridiculous. Not interested in giving up my privacy to this company to save a few bucks on my home energy bill. Disappointed RG&E does not use a USA based company that does not require full EV access!!!!

1 ★ Reliably unreliable. . No phone number to ring .. cannot charge a friend/visitor's car .. BOOST not always visible .. SMART does not always charge .. what do green/ blue mean . What does flashing and not flashing mean..
