The application Limfjord Literature developed in a collaboration between a number of museums around the Limfjord in Northern Jutland, Denmark. The following museums have contributed:
Lemvig Museum, Struer Museum, Museum of Thy and the North Hanherred, Johannes V. Jensen Museum, Museum Jenle. Moreover Shaft Sandemose Company.
The app is part of a larger project: the website limfjordslitteratur.dk which is approved and funded by the Danish Agency for Culture 2011-12.
Overall, the website and app aims to disseminate museological knowledge about some of the many well-known Danish writers associated with Limfjordsegnene. Museernes great historical and lore knowledge, stories and collections of objects conveyed thereto in the new digital media.
