Download the latest WSET Tasting Notes - Wine application, version 2.0.5, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Food & Drink app is developed by Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and is easy to download and install.
Previous versions, including 2.0.5, are also available. If you need help or have any problems, please let us know.
Description
In line with updates to the new qualification, you can record primary, secondary and tertiary aroma and flavour characteristics giving greater depth and nuance to your tasting notes.
Brought to you by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) — the largest wine education provider in the world — the app is based on our globally recognised Systematic Approach to Tasting® (SAT) at Level 2.
Note: This app does not form part of the WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines course. However it is a useful tool for both current and former WSET students at all levels.
Never been a WSET student? No problem! The app is a great tool for all wine tasters, complete with useful tips on how to record your notes. The app also provides a great taster of the skills you can expect to acquire through WSET courses.

What is the Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine?
The Systematic Approach to Tasting® (SAT) is a method of note taking developed by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust to make tasting notes more objective and comparable.
The methodology breaks down the evaluation of wine, spirits or sake into appearance, nose, palate and conclusion, supported by universal terminology.
The SAT is published at four progressive levels of difficulty in support of the four levels WSET qualifications available. This app has been built for wines at level two making it suitable for those who are new to the SAT method as well as those that have completed WSET courses.
A systematic approach to tasting provides wine tasters with a foundation on which to build and develop their skills. The SAT forms an integral part of all WSET courses.

3 ★ Easy to use. A fix needed with the low medium high settings that only appear as numbers in your finished tasting notes. Also, it would be better if once saved you were able to make changes to your tasting notes instead of having to delete and redo.
3 ★ Easy to use but really need to fix the bug on " low" level which appears as some wired numbers in the submitted tasting note. It would be much better to be able to chage submitted notes, at least adding supplement note to existing tasting.
1 ★ Keeps wiping my aroma and taste notes and reverting to the initial listing page. Tried five times - same every time. Time wasting when I've got wine to get back to!
2 ★ crashing constantly at the last step, when saving the note (android). this is the only reason why i had to uninstal this app. and you got no chance to edit your notes, this is pretty impractical.
4 ★ I love the app. But I'd love it more if it was complete and had all the categories of three sections of SAT
3 ★ (Update) No crash signing in but displaying random numbers for some field I entered e.g. intensity, finish.....
2 ★ This app is inconsistent with tasting methods. Is there any way to evaluate the wine before capturing the bottle notes. The note taking order is too restrictive
1 ★ Crash upon lunch. And seems no one is bothering to fix this. Useless app. WSET should respect themselves better. If they can not fix this then remove this app from the play store!
2 ★ Many options missing: -Can't share tastes with friends -Can't search wines with different filters:ex: lemon flavours, only whites,only reds, only from italy, only from spain and whites,... - medium+and medium- levels..
1 ★ App crashes immediately after log in. uninstalled and retried several times. sad, WSET is a grear source for knowledge
1 ★ Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and it still crashes when opening.
1 ★ The app closes as soon as it is opened. No way to use it
1 ★ Can't even get it to open 😡 apparently doesn't work at all
3 ★ Too busy and taking too much time.
