WORKS GREAT!! I used to use "Mr. Number Block", and that was my favorite app for blocking out Unknown & Private Numbers until the latest update to my phone. It no longer worked, so I had to do trial and error with a few new apps. "Safest Call Blocker" is just as good, and even better than my old app. I don't have to be bothered with private number and "mystery" callers. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Safest Call Blocker 1.26.001 APK requires following permissions:
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an application to write (but not read] the user's call log data.
Allows an application to read the user's call log.
Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to write the user's contacts data.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

4 ★ This app is doing just what i need iy to. Now i am not having all the junk calls coming through..i just wish they could also stop the voice mails from being left also. Thanks for the good job!
1 ★ It did not block any calls. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I unselected and re-selected the different options. I restarted my Samsung Galaxy S6 phone and kept testing with my home phone which is not in my contacts. I could not get it to block any calls.
1 ★ Doesn't block anything, I got 2 spam calls in the first couple of hours after installing it. It blocks those few calls that arrive as unknown, but any call with a "valid" caller ID will go through.
4 ★ Love the app and what it USED to do, but recently it has been crashing every time I get a call (regardless of whether it's in my contacts or a suspected bad call.) I have to keep turning it back on. Is this app still being supported by the devs/any updates on the horizon?
1 ★ Has some nice features like the ability to add blocked numbers from call log, but just doesn't block calls it should. Added an entry to block all calls from an area code/exchange and it just doesn't work. then tried blocking all calls not in my contact list and that doesn't work either. Still get telemarketing calls all day long.
1 ★ Didn't work at all. I'm receiving malicious automated calls every 20 seconds. Added the numbers to the block list and they were still able to come through. This app does none of what it claims to do.
5 ★ Not a bad little app. Works for the most part though some numbers still come through after they have been blocked. Fix that and I will give you 5 stars as the app is easy to use.
4 ★ Love this app however when my blocked numbers try to call me the phone is silent but then I have to turn up ringer volume again. How do I fix this. Let me know and I'll go pro
5 ★ It does what you want it to do. Block Calls. Very useful for blocking a bunch of US numbers if in Canada and don't want annoying Advertisements from the states. The wild card feature WORKS!!!

2 ★ It blocks ALL my calls even tho I have NOT checked the 'block all calls box'. It blocks ALL my contacts even tho I have checked the box that says do NOT block my contacts. Therefore this app is useless!!
3 ★ This app used to work great, not sure what happened recently but it's not working properly. I have it set to only allow contacts through and recently it's blocking my contacts? Had to uninstall.
4 ★ So far it is doing what its supposed to do and that's stop unwanted phone calls, had to reinstall app after it stopped blocking unwanted calls and so far its only block the calls I inputted manually and call log is enabled but not one unwanted call even shows up on it. Not sure if this app is even working anymore.
5 ★ It blocks most calls that I add to the list. There is one number that gets through but others have the same issue with that number. All in all its a good app.
