App permissions

Vons Delivery & Pick Up 11.20.0 APK requires following permissions:

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.

Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

4 ★ I really do like the app and my experience with choosing delivery times. It has really helped during our stay at home orders. They are usually quick to fix the bugs and I feel like it is all user friendly.

1 ★ Unusable, constantly has error messages and won't allow me to use the app. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no difference.

5 ★ Great. Wonderful App remembers all you ordered, tracks deliveries, great workers. Great for seniors, busy, avoiding Covid.

1 ★ Doesn't work. Clip coupons and they dissappear. Customer service is horrible. Impatient and not helpful.

1 ★ After paying for a delivery subscription, vons stopped delivering to our address and told us to use the Albertsons app. Many items are not available or lower quality.

5 ★ Its a great deal more savings on top of coupons love the app.

1 ★ This app used to match the Website version, but a recent update has made it virtually unusable. There is no way to easily categorize coupons and deals, or easily search for items as prior versions had. Don't waste your time with this app, and if you haven't updated your prior version, don't do so.

4 ★ Overall really good with rare exception.

3 ★ Vons doesnt deliver from store nearby, 2 miles. They do in other cities. Delivery is from Albertson's, over 10 miles and i have to use the Albertson's shopping app. I still have to go to vons app to see and load deals, make lists etc. Then I go to do my shopping on the Albertson's app. I use both to see what i want to buy. Search, select and hope my deals are there when I pay. I'll be much happier when i can just use the one app from Vons..

1 ★ I made 4 orders and each time I was over charged and had missing items!!! Even with my card, they still did not take off the savings. They never gave me my credits from two orders. They charged me for the groceries up front and when my order came and I looked at the receipt, the total was different!! I always had to call to get the amount credited back to my bank and they never did!!!

2 ★ The app is terribly buggy and keeps getting worse. Lots of freezes and crashes, screen jumps around, doesn't respond to input, etc. What's worse is, instead of receiving a meaningful response that acknowledges the issues, their response to feedback is one of those useless canned responses that more often than not isn't even relevant to the issue you've described. That's beyond frustrating and, to me, implies the company couldn't possibly care less about user experience.

3 ★ This is my experience from picking up. Has potential to be great. Biggest hurdle is you don't know if your entire order will be filled. An item may be out of stock. You aren't notified if any of your items aren't available. Sometimes the attendant who takes the groceries out to your car doesn't tell you if something you ordered wasn't available. It's frustrating to get home and notice something is missing. It's a waste of time and defeats the purpose of using the app in the first place

5 ★ Been trying to update the app, but it won't update. UPDATE: After 2 weeks of unable to update the app and uninstalled then reinstalled it today it's working.

2 ★ Does allow you to place orders (good!) Does NOT accurately list your orders. Order totals are what you requested, NOT what you received. (You do get receipts by e-mail that are accurate but do NOT match info in app!). :-( NOT at all robust (detailed nor accurate).

1 ★ Terribly run delivery service. They never get your order right, they are always out of items and now they won't deliver alcohol. They should hire experts from Amazon and Instacart to run their delivery business. My annual subscription was a waste of money. Avoid if you can.
