App permissions
Virtual Assist 3.6.19 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to record audio.
Allows an application to modify global audio settings.
Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

5 ★ An app of effectiveness and convienness. With uncertainty in mind of not knowing how ,what . I downloaded this app and very surprised the easy functions and time saving this app have . Once I put my claim number , an adjuster from Allstate showed up who is super friendly and very helpful . Just my pixel on hand , the adjuster instructed me to follow his instructions to inspect my car damages . All of the necessary photos and videos in a live stream fashion in less than 15 mintnues. Awesome!
1 ★ If I could give it 0 stars I would. We're forced to used this garbage and it absolutely kills my phone battery on my personal phone. Almost every supplement I've sent up comes back half as much as I sent up. I've wasted more time with this app and the people behind it then I could ever imagine.
1 ★ Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! I tried to connect 7 times. Each time there was a new wrinkle. Video but no audio. Audio but no video. Connect and freezes. I can hear and see him but he can't hear and see me, etc.
1 ★ I think it is absolute bull $#!+ that they expect us to install an app specifically for them on our PERSONAL devices for them to do the exact same thing I used to do via email. Allstate has rapidly become one of the WORST insurance carriers out there.
1 ★ This app is terrible. The connection and picture quality are horrible. Most of the time there is no response from the insurer regardless of whether you wait on hold or opt for a callback.
1 ★ App sucks, crashes, hard to hear and be heard in a shop environment. Can email supplements rather than use the app but it takes 2 weeks for them to be reviewed. Allstate has least efficient supplement process of any insurance company.
2 ★ Great experience with the representative herself, but tried 5 times to make the app work and each time she was unable to speak to me and vice versa. Eventually just took photos by hand and sent them in. Great service, app needs work.
1 ★ Terrible app. Wait times are unreasonable, sometimes after waiting hours I'll be disconnected without explanation. Don't bother pressing the "call me back" button because they won't. Worst of all, if you do actually get through to someone, they will email you an estimate a few hours later. The estimate you get will not resemble the conversation you had.
1 ★ As a shop doing repairs we need quick answers. After installing this app and attempting to connect to Allstate, it timed out and said I would be notified with a code to connect. Never got a call back. Allstate customer service is really bad.
1 ★ Seems pretty worthless so far. Didn't connect me to a chat, haven't got a call back. Tried once yesterday at 530 pm, figure they were closed, asked for a call back, nothing, tried today at 1 pm after calling Allstate, still waiting for the call back. So here I sit without a vehicle waiting for a call that seems like it'll never come.
1 ★ APP: high battery use. Need wifi for quality use i.e. don't go to the back of your storage lot where wifi isn't available and try to use LTE because adjuster will complain about image quality and lag. Insurance company: if you're expecting a shop to use the app and then question repair times or judgments even when we request a physical inspection, then you obviously don't care about the quality of your/the repair process...or your customer.
1 ★ Constant dropped calls, long wait time, and sometimes the adjusters say their camera went out so I can't even show them the vehicle. I miss being able to just email estimates and supplements.
1 ★ Terrible drops yet have full wifi signal. 3 calls yet it's not working. Nice to see all state insurance using an inferior app technology. The point of this technology is to simplify the claims process which does neither but frustrate.
1 ★ Since implementing this app, Allstate has become among the most difficult and least efficient insurance companies for handling claims. There are many problems with the app, chief among them being it typically doesn't work. After submitting the info, it usually says "Wait times are longer than usual. Please try again later". If I call Allstate, a robot argues with me for 20 minutes before connecting me to a person who says "thanks for calling Allstate! Please use the Virtual Assist App. Goodbye"
1 ★ Garbage! Garbage! Garbage! Garbage! It keeps disconnecting and after an hour waiting for an inspector, My phone's battery is at 30% and yes, I have the phone plugged in to the wall charging and it's like it wasn't charging.
