Description
Control your Defender Guard camera with this app to unlock a world of possibilities. Set motion detection schedules, instant alerts and notifications, record and retrieve footage, share and save memorable and not-so-memorable moments, and customize a whole array of other features to your liking. Stay connected anywhere, anytime with advanced encrypted communication protocols. You can even stream, hear, and save live footage over a cellular data connection.
Cloud Storage – No more fees, subscription services, or monthly liabilities. Use your Defender Guard camera with an optional 128 GB SD card (not included) and you’ll get days of recording (depending on your settings).
Motion Detection – Detect everything, anytime. With advanced Night Vision sensors, your Defender Guard can send you motion alerts the day or night, during set times, or only when you access the app.
Activity Regions - Set a detection region and say goodbye to false alarms. Keep an eye out on only the areas that matter!
Recording Timeline – With an easy-to-use visual timeline, scroll through past recordings with an intuitive time/date slider. It’s simplicity, but visualized!
Defender Guard and this app work best on a high-speed broadband network with a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection. A 5 GHz connection is not supported.

5 ★ It's worked really well, so far, very clear during the day and night. It's already survived the four seasons and is going on its second winter. Now I just need one that rotates.
4 ★ Accidentally deleleted EDITED previous review. [Edit: I was not aware that the local storage requires periodical manual formatting (rather than automatic overwrite) for new contents to be continuingly recorded. Problem solved. ATTENTION OTHER USERS, check setting and format it otherwise nothing is recorded except a snapshot in preview.]
1 ★ FRUSTRATING
1 ★ Since my last review, I noticed that the app does not record all motion. My Nest app shows a delivery man at my door and when I go on the Defender app nothing is recorded. There are "holes" in the recordings. This system is not reliable. I would not recommend it if you depend ona security system to record every event. It is a waste of money! Even though what you say, there are still lapses in recordings.
1 ★ new update is horrible. always have error when looking at history and now I can't go back less than a day ago? what's the point of having a security camera I can't even use. Don't bother getting not worth it
