Verify Me app let you scan the QR code on the products, once you scan QR code it will automatically detect it as legal or counterfeit product.
*Motivation
According to a study in Pakistan around 90% of legitimate industry suffers from direct or indirect counterfeit products. Most consumers end up unable to choose between genuine and counterfeit items. VerifyMe intend to stamp out this confusing situation by protecting manufacturers and consumers from counterfeit products and their suppliers.
*Limitations
Verify Me app only detects QR code provided by http://verifyme.pk/
*How can i verify my products using Verify Me app
If you see a product that you think should have a verification code on it, please send an email to info@verifyme.pk with the product name, the brand name, and the country where you purchased the product. We will speak with the manufacturer about protecting this product.
App permissions
VerifyMe 1.10 APK requires following permissions:
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an application to send SMS messages.
Allows an application to read SMS messages.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
