1 ★ This app is a great concept but objectively horribly built. Tested on two separate phones, it systematically shut down multiple (system!) Apps until the phone was unusable. Sad that Uniden only has this old offering available to stream its (expensive) scanner audio.
1 ★ Simply a con game by Uniden. They are using this app as a selling point with the full knowledge that it does not work. That is FRAUD! Sounds like a good basis for a very expensive Class Action suit.
1 ★ Never had an app crash so hard it stopped other apps and required restarting the phone to kill. Don't waste your time.
1 ★ Crashes within seconds. Using on Samsung Galaxy S10+ with Android 10 version. Too bad there isn't a bettet application.
1 ★ Keeps freezing phone and causing it to restart everytime I tried using it, ended up deleting app because it was useless.
1 ★ A profoundly disappointing application. I would understand if it didn't work, but the problem is that it works, and stops some core applications from working. While it works fine, and many core applications start crashing the moment I start the app. I suspect that some basic changes, even recreation of the APK with a newer version of Google would do the trick. For crying out loud, fix the GD app. It isn't rocket science
1 ★ Crashes every thing on your phone. If option was there to give 0 stars that is what I would have given it. The creator of this app does not seem to be trying to do anything with it to solve the issue. I have a Galaxy S-8 and it should run this app with ease, but it can not and everything on my phone crashes. I had to reboot my phone the last time it happened it crashed so much of my operating system. I delegated this garbage off my phone and would not even remotely for one second recommend downloading this app at all. Matter of time before something gets messed up permanently on a cell phone.
1 ★ ** URGENTLY ** needs a re-write!! the BCD536 wifi implementation is itself poor (no default route Uniden ? sheesh!) which puts Siren on the back foot - BUT in the latest android (Oreo) this app sequentially causes itself to crash , then the desktop environment , then finally takes down the OS causing a reboot. Seems to be triggered more quickly by adjusting app sound / volume settings. come on UPman! this is your flagship app! get it sorted ASAP
1 ★ This app has not been updated in nearly 4 years! It constantly crashes and causes other apps and processes to crash. Very disappointed!
1 ★ This app was made for phones of yesteryear! This is v1.0.1, last updated in 2016. Totally crashes all modern Android versions. Come on Uniden, you are charging $650 for a scanner and putting out this junk!!! This app is incompatible with current Android and should be banned from Google's Play Store. Users please flag this app as harmful to device!
1 ★ I have tried to do every possible update to the 536hp and the siren app as possible. Both say no new update is available. I loaded the app on my phone and then issues after issues with apps crashing before the UI crashed. I restarted phone and tried it again same issue. I tried it on a tablet which has andriod 7.0 and no issues what so ever. Wake up upman and fix the issues!
1 ★ installed the app... when you go to use it, it literally crashes every app and program on your phone. Never had a problem like that before on any other app. It works in the foreground but the apps crash over it and continue to do so while the siren app is running. It looks like they put the app out and abandoned it and never updated it or it's problems. JUNK!
1 ★ while the app does appear capable of performing the stated tasks it is so unstable that it is crashing system applications and services while running. dropping support and updates for the app associated with such a popular and still current device is disrespectful to customers who have invested a significant amount of money on the radio.
2 ★ Crashes everything on my android. When is there going to be an update. Very disappointed. Looks like the last update was 2016. WTH ?
1 ★ Like everyone else has said, don't waste your time. Crashes my Andriod. Runs OK occasionally, but even when it does the last second of audio is always cut off from a transmission. UNIDEN really needs to give this a makeover. Sad too because the 536HP is such a great scanner.
