App permissions

Unacademy Educator App 2.10.40 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows an application to record audio.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows an application to manage access to documents, usually as part of a document picker.

1 ★ App is alright but unacademy is very bad company. Each and everytime my hours have been wrongly calculated. I have raised my isssues via email, support teams have also sent screenshots to support my claim. But no one responds. To the people who want to join unacademy as educator don't waste your time. There is no guarantee whether you will get paid or not. My POC never once contacted me, who am I supposed to contact? They just want free labour and would throw you away when work's done.

3 ★ Good platform but the option to live record screen or application in our PC is missing. There are some courses like graphic design, web design, excel etc which is best understood when shown live how to do. Excel analytics has so many steps. Not literally possible to nake static image based slides and explain. Stutents learn better quicker when live demonstrated. Screenshot based ppt not an interactive. Requesting you to update this feature. Otherwise nice app. Love the pen / marker tool.Thanks.

1 ★ They give the same automated feedback on every demo. Sound energetic, enthusiastic? When the lecture is perfect for apt understanding of the content. What is the need to show unnecessary fake energy. This is not a tv show. I see now the reason behind the lack of content and unnecessary drama in the lectures on their YouTube channel. The selection process is itself based on flowerly drama rather than actual content.

1 ★ I'm very disappointed with this app. Everytime I upload a demo video, gets rejected. When video got rejected due to low voice, I bought a mic and made a video. Then again rejected, and the reason was given that hand writing is not clear. But again to overcome the problem I made PowerPoint presentation video. Again rejected. It seems like they don't need an educator that's why finding new faults. Please don't waste your time and energy on this app. This app is useless and harassing people.

2 ★ having a serious issue with educator app. when i open app it asks for KYC updation and it also shows all unread messages at bottom, they pop up again n again whenever i open app,even after i remove them. second issur is,when i uploaded pan card image ,app hangs for a moment and goes back to "complete your KYC " screen. i did many re installation and cleared app data many times but issue still exists.

1 ★ I am unable to upload ppt for my demo. Everytime I try to add a ppt it shows no ppt/pdf found on your device. I have mailed quite a few times but really none of the responses by the team were actually helpful. First they dont understand my problem and when they finally get they dont provide with any real solution. Just passing the ball here and there...

5 ★ Not long ago Unacademy asked for suggestions & feedback from educators for making the app user friendly.I can't believe that all those that I asked for has been provided in the new app.A big thank you Unacademy for putting in all these new features it will particularly help maths & science educators a lot & the best part is the canvas provided for writing.Teaching will be more effective & interesting using all these features.

1 ★ The format is in landscape as anyone can say if that person has basic knowledge of formats.There were 71 peoples ahead of me for a long time then in bit of seconds it turns out zero and got the message of not in the landscape format although every feature is in the video which was mentioned in the reason.I have got this same word to word message 2nd time even after correcting everything and making it more efficient.I think there's a bug going on in the app.Please see over this.

1 ★ Very silly reasons to reject videos. Font size should be more. Even though i clicked images through camscanner, they still keeps on telling take pics via camscanner. If you dont have idea of recruiting just say it. I nearly tried 50 videos and you are saying different reasons to reject videos. I think you do the same in the learning app. I suggest all to not use either of your app. 😠😡

1 ★ Dear Unacademy, I am grateful to you as I have cleared my UGC NET last year with the help of Unacademy learning app. My heartfelt thanks to NAVDEEP KAUR Ma'am. Recently I thought of being an educator on the same. But unfortunately my demo gets rejected again and again (for 3 times) for absolute invalid reasons. I feel my Demo is not even looked at and just automated feedback are given which are irrelevant. It is very disappointing to know that the system is not transparent.

2 ★ Not good.. Do not installed this app, after demo lesson always give feedback that sound not proper, explain in constant speed, background noise while there was no any background noise because of these reason I have recorded my demo after 12am and after that they gave me a same feedback.

1 ★ I could not even register myself. It is saying that i am not authorized to access the app. I dont understand what the problem is. Also, on my home screen, there is no icon of unacademy. I have to go to play store everytime to open the app. Strange issues!!!

1 ★ Hi to the unacademy team. I had downloaded the educator app a couple months ago, had to uninstall the same bcz my phone software hadsome technical issues. Now I'm trying to login via the app, "you are NOT authorised to login" says a pop up. Pls fix this issue. And if you guys aren't hiring, pls make this public. My demo was accepted, I was told to make 5 videos.. but b4 that could happen, my phone had issues. The team hasn't replied to my mail. Gear up those at the backend please

2 ★ This app or software is not compatible with iPad. It would be lot better if we can go live from an iPad. Sometimes when we are unable to operate using a laptop or PC.. This will make educator experience more useful and better. Thanks

1 ★ I've the same issue. It is not allowing me to access. Notification pop-up nd i was told that I've no permission to access . Even i installed it for the 1st tym . Either fix this issue or remove it frm the playstore so tht near future nobody could face the same issue as i.
