5 ★ This "deprecated" CNET app is GREAT and far better than the "new" CNET app. I especially like the ability to choose specific video shows by hosts that like.
5 ★ c|net
1 ★ Why is it deprecated?
1 ★ Moto G4. This app got so bad I uninstalled it a year ago. I returned to it recently but found its as bad as ever. The menu bar wasn't working till I restarted the app, and even after that the poll on social media apps doesn't show up and the article on 'in the market for a cheap handset' doesn't show up. I'm baffled with how the app devs are so consistently incapable of developing an app that works.
2 ★ Broken links a plenty. It's a frustrating problem. Seems like a game of chance to see if an article that I want to read will actually open. Great articles... I just can't get to the ones that I want. Please use your mad tech skills to fix it. Thanks you for all the great news though.
1 ★ Can't believe people who criticize everyone else can't fix their own app. Have to kill the app and relaunch to make menu work. Road show is a joke. No trick helped to ply videos. Same issues on browser too. Stop cruising others and fix your app.
3 ★ Half of the time I click on articles nothing will happen. I'll have to close the app and jump back on it with a partial chance of being able to read what I want. I've had this so for two years and still run into this on my Nexus 6. Stick to the website.
3 ★ Good enough, but sometimes the articles are blank or the links don't work. And not being able to open in Chrome is a poor user experience. Why I'm writing this review though... The app just advertised itself while browsing. I thought it must be a new version but clicked the link and nope, same one.
1 ★ Fix this app!! For over a year now this app will freeze up almost every time I click on the latest articles Tab at the top. They have no problem updating it and making sure it works on IOS though.
1 ★ I downloaded this so looking at reviews would be easier, but I was immediately subscribed to newsletters that sent me multiple emails a day. I blocked them, but come on! And you can turn it off, but by default there are way too many notifications. This app may have decent content. I have no idea. There was too much spam to dig through to make it worth it.
2 ★ The app is embarrassingly bad, considering that CNET reviews and tests technology. It barely functions at the best of times and don't even get me started with the photo galleries that take you to different articles when you swipe for the next picture in the set.
1 ★ Un-clickable articles (links) ! When I try to click on most articles , nothing happens. Very frustrating. Lousy App.
2 ★ This is a tech app that doesn't seem to have any sort of useful search capability. Put in a couple terms and watch it grab thousands of essentially random results. I know the material is in there somewhere. But where?
2 ★ I love CNET but I hate this app. Cannot watch in landscape mode on my Samsung Galaxy tab S3. Very user-unfriendly when trying to watch videos.
1 ★ The latest version continues to be buggy. It eats battery, even on my brand new Moto Z running Nougat. Featured articles last too long. Articles don't indicate if they've been read. Love CNET but the apps content is no longer with the effort, good bye.
