App permissions

Stargate Command 1517 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows applications to enter Wi-Fi Multicast mode.

Allows using the device's IR transmitter, if available.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

2 ★ Playing a movie or episode does not give me the option to cast to Chromecast despite the 7/30 update saying it does. Quizzes and articles are great, but without the ability to cast to larger TV's, I'm left disappointed.

4 ★ The look of the UI is nice but a pain to get to episodes. Recently, I could not get the casting to work. However after clearing both app storage and cache, casting works again.

1 ★ bad update! I was really happy with this app when I got it, but since the update it has been nothing but trouble. You can read all the other reviews to see what what I've been experiencing. this is unbelievable! the very least you could do is give me my money back! this is false advertising at its finest! Do not buy this app! IT IS A SCAM!!! do what everybody else does and download all the videos for free over the internet. you can find them using any search engine

1 ★ This app is just a scam. DO NOT PAY FOR IT!!!! They claim you get a 1 year membership. They update the app every 6-9 months for a new look and then make you pay again to use it. I first got this app and payed for 1 year in march or april of 2018. Sept 2018 rolls around and they canceled my membership and said i have to pay again. i payed again in Sept 2018. Guess what, they changed looks in May 2019 and canceled me yet again. 2 years serice payed for, barely got 1 year for my money.

4 ★ Update: Issues with All Access have been resolved painlessly for me. New version of the app is certainly an improvement on the old one but still a little clunkier than it could be. Since the app update my already purchased All Access has disappeared through the stargate. This does not fill you with confidence. I have contacted support and this will hopefully be fixed. Unable to comment on the quality of the app because I can no longer access most of it!

1 ★ I had recently rated the app 5 stars, I was able to watch all the seasons of stargate on my TV via the gate cast app for the fire TV stick. Until the most recent update that is, as this feature was removed. Why update and remove features? I was originally told in a support ticket the feature would be reinstated on June the 5th, this didn't happen. I am now told to expect an update by June the 20th at the earliest.

3 ★ The asthetics are pleasing and the icons at the bottom are a welcome change. However, every action seems to cause a loading circle. Especially when navigating through the Seasons and Episodes pages. It has made picking an episode a tedious task in comparison to the previous system. My all-access has been fixed, thank you very much. However due to the new UI being so slow i find myself never using the app. Also, trying to watch an episode within the app is impossible due to the 6fps video.

1 ★ I always loved the app and it worked great, until the last update. Now I can't login to my account, the app doesn't even load, at all. It just shows an error. On my laptop I suddenly have to buy a new subscription even though I already have an active one and it won't let me log in. This has been all kinds of frustrating. I was a founding member, but I am unsure if it is worth putting more money into this. Please fix these issues, this is ridiculous.

1 ★ What have you done with this app? The update makes no sense. I can't find anything. How do I start a discussion? How do I find my previous comments and discussions? It freezes a lot and I get an unexpected label error when I try to start it now. Where are all my coins? And still no founder's patch. I will be signing off from this app and uninstalling it. No more $20 from me. Good luck.

2 ★ Really disappointed with the new app style. I really liked the way the app looked and worked, navigation was simple and straightforward. Now it looks you went backwards, looks way less polished, navigation is a nightmare, just very awkward. And I was just a few 1000 points away from ascending and now I am nothing and am not gonna bother trying again cause you may just decide to change it all again and that is really disheartening after putting so much time and effort only to lose everything.

1 ★ I can longer cast videos to my fire tv which is my primary way of watching SG videos from the app. I have no issue with the new design of the app as long as it works, but if it cant do what its supposed to then it gets 1 from me until things improve. I have seen quite a number of people with the same issue and no one has gotten back to them. At this juncture casting should not be an issue at all, as that is a primary function.

1 ★ App used to work pretty well, at least well enough for my uses, but now I am completely unable to play videos on my phone OR cast to my TV every time I try it either crashes the app completely or it freezes and I get a warning that it is frozen would I like it to shut down. completely impossible to use. the ability to cast to my roku is the ENTIRE reason I got the app. a well working shiny website is nothing if the app to actually play things doesn't work.

1 ★ It should be made obvious that a main feature doesn't work. the fire app says gatecast is a thing, the updated android app has nothing of the sort. kind of a waste of $20 until it is released. all the side content is great, but I'd rather not be tied to a PC to watch it at a decent size.

3 ★ I love the apps potential. However, it's sluggish, and the casting option to my Roku TV doesn't work.

1 ★ App wasn't the best but worked. However with my most recent update it just doesn't show my membership. I would avoid until they have fixed the problems. Support doesn't seem to be responding (3 days now waiting for any response).
