1 ★ No way to sort hot items by temp. Seems simple feature but never implemented and then makes you scroll forever. Admins appear highly political, currently seeking different app after using for over 10 years
5 ★ Amazing app, saved me quite a few quid. You can save your favourite brands and the app notifies you when certain items are on special. Alternatively you can browse and buy things you don't really need 😂.
2 ★ Check out "latest deals app"instead...If you try to flag animal abuse and testing on animals on HUKDs they remove the comments as "off topic" personally I'd like to know what my money is funding and consider it to be very much on topic. Used to be a great app and community, lately a lot of deals get removed for no good reason, even when probed and asked the reasoning is questionable. I'm looking for an alternative as don't trust them and missing deals now.
1 ★ Had a profile logged in with FB I couldnt change my name so I made it with my email address directly and got banned for multiple accounts...emailed back and no one bothered to come back to me..
1 ★ Used the App for a good while now but over the past few months I have had issues refreshing the deals or notifications. Hit and miss if it actually works.
1 ★ Please remove the over-zealous horizontal swiping. It's virtually unusable. Swipe left or right is not needed - if I want to change tabs, I can click on them at the top. Also, the loss of the compact view is a big step backwards. You speak of agile development, listen to the feedback from your stakeholders (your users) - it's pretty clear from the recent reviews.
2 ★ Compact view removed in latest update. Now there is too much wasted space, not enough detail on screen and too much scrolling to browse anything. Looks like I've zoomed in by 200%. Any update that causes one to use more time and effort to access the same data is not a good update. Luckily I have been able to restore a backup from a week ago so for now at least, I can use compact mode again and don't need to scroll, scroll and scroll, just to view the lists.
1 ★ The removal of compact view makes it so much more difficult to quickly browse through deals. I simply can't understand what benefit there is to having so much wasted space. Also, there seems to be an issue where making the slightest movement to the left or right when scrolling causes you to change tabs completely. Combine this with how much longer it already takes to browse and it makes the user experience utterly painful at times. May have to revert back to an earlier version.
2 ★ Removing compact view is a big mistake. Find now that I cannot bother to scroll through the deals and only look when a keyword triggers an alert. Also, with the app update I have found that trying to refresh a page more often than not flicks to another page (i.e. Hot to New, or Hot to Highlights). Finally, there used to be a time when the app remembered the last deal you got to so all you had to do was scroll up to see all the new deals since. Never understood why they changed that
1 ★ Removing compact view makes the app way to cluttered for me to use. I will stay on a version with compact view until it stops working, then likely move to an RSS feed if it hasn't been added back. The app is honestly unusable for me in the main view, I went from seeing 8 deals on the screen to just 3, which meant huge amounts of deals being missed.
1 ★ This used to be a good app but now every time I open it up I get an annoying pop up to tell me there an update for it and there no way of stopping it plus it seems only deal posted by certain people become hot and they delete comments for no reason
2 ★ Have used the website for many years and it's great! Though I do always seem to have problems with the app. For the past few weeks most of the time when I click 'get deal' it says it can't, that it got interrupted or cannot be reached! Very annoying! Have tried uninstalling and installing again but still have same problem. Interestingly I don't have this problem on iOS.
1 ★ Oh dear, won't be bothering with it while compact view is gone. Phone screens are massive these days, so 3 and a half deals per scroll just ain't gonna cut it lol! Edit: Thanks for the cut and paste reply. I just don't bother to click through any deals now (always a chore when I have adblockers anyway). I just manually go to a website, might take a bit longer, but means I'm not filling the coffers of an organisation that doesn't listen to the most important people, it's USERS!
5 ★ One of my most used apps, although in the most recent update they seem to have moved the search button from the top right next to the bell icon to under the 3 dot menu in the top right instead. This seems completely unnecessary to me, so I've removed a star. Response to the dev - My bad I had increased the display size on my phone so I've taken it back to 5 stars, does look like their is ample space for it to fit in though even at the larger display size!
1 ★ App pushes products that fund them well, so it's not as review driven as it might appear. The site is also heavily censored & criticism of products funding the site can be deleted. Pics of products such as women in swimsuits (etc) or even just pictures of loose underwear get censored too, yet strangely dildos can appear in their full glory, but this may be changing as "bike lube" now appears a censored product too. My account's just been terminated as I've "multiple accounts" Only I don't!
