Download the latest NSW RFS Firefighter Pocketbook application, version 3.0.4, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Tools app is developed by NSW Rural Fire Service and is easy to download and install.
Previous versions, including 3.0.4, 6.0.2, are also available. If you need help or have any problems, please let us know.
Description
While some of the information contained is in summary form and uses “rules of thumb,” it is sufficient to assist in making operational decisions or to use as a quick reference in operational planning, and training.
Included are online calculators for forest and grass fire predictions, and a converter to show your current position as latitude/longitude, map grid reference, and street directory reference. The app and its calculators can be used whether or not there is mobile network coverage.
The app’s content is based on the most recent (2010) hard copy of the NSW RFS Pocketbook. Content can be updated at any time over the air, and will be amended as needed.

5 ★ Will not let me know where I am, won't search for location. Has been good previously. Have uninstalled and started again without improvement.
3 ★ Updated to new S7. Won't show location or change to any others like grid/map reference etc.
