PRIVATE PROXY SURFING FEATURE
When you need extra privacy, you'll love our Proxy. It works by copying the web page you want to visit onto our server, so you see it through us, not them. Because you never make contact with the third-party website, they can't infect you with cookies or malware, and they can't see your IP address or other information. They only see us, while you stay safe and invisible behind the scenes.
You can use the StartPage Proxy to access any website you find through a StartPage search. Simply click the "Proxy" link under the search result.
Note: For security reasons, the Proxy restricts web forms and Javascript, and websites may not be optimized for mobile devices (since we don't even tell them you're on a mobile device!)

2 ★ Just stopped working, typed something into the search, clicked magnifying glass search, virtual keyboard flashed and magnifying glass icon goes pale blue and freezes , reinstalled twice, still not working on Moto g6 play, what's happening, working fine until 2 hrs ago....
1 ★ What's happening with Startpage? So, I created a shortcut for it. This has Google as the default search engine. Bing, DuckDuckGo ... Didn't it used to have its own? Perhaps I am mistaken her. But it has all sorts of my personal information: credit card payment detail, login details for websites ... And is the shortcut using the Chrome browser? This is scary. I am back using the DuckDuckGo browser.
2 ★ Just OK, Worth the Trouble??? Can't set to open in Advanced Search: won't save settings consistently. Also, search, select a result, back out of the first result and are taken all the way out to blank search page, where you get to enter your search criteria all over again.
3 ★ Does what it says thus the three stars. However, there's no adblock, it's pretty ugly and most disappointing of all it's another privacy browser, just like DuckDuckGo that doesn't have an opinion to turn off auto-play videos.
5 ★ I use this app more than I thought I would. Cool concept, don't have to worry about privacy, ad blockers, extensions, etc. Good job!
1 ★ I downloaded the latest version on my huawei p10 and it opens and that is all. I put a search on and Nothing happens. Deleted and reinstalled ,turned my phone on and off but still the same.
5 ★ I've downloaded amd tried out over 20 browsers now... Startpage is definitely one of the best when it comes to privacy. You would be so surprised howany browser claim to have this type of privacy but instead give give your info to any and everyone. The most dishonest im my opinion would Br...(rhymes with wave) Great product thanks. Only thing that might need improvement would be custumization, dark mode.
4 ★ Maybe the app's capabilities should be improved to match their website (which they admit is better, and THEY tell you to use), but other than that, I LOVE the service they provide AND their mission/ideology! If we don't support the companies that provide these types of services that allow us anonymity (enabling us to express our individual privacy rights) and keep prying eyes from tracking us, I'm not sure how we keep the internet from eventually turning into JUST a data mining operation!
4 ★ Its a great app i have used ever. Thank you developers. One small issue is that its very slow while scrolling the browsed pages. Otherwise i can put 5 instead of 4 star 🌟
1 ★ This app is completely useless, despite it using a great service. It's just a very simple browser that defaults to the startpage website. Right on their home page they say a bookmark to the mobile version of their website is better than the app itself.
5 ★ Excellent & very informative if u dont understand something ! I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST IF YOU DONT HAVE THIS BROWSER AND PRIVACY AND SECURITY IS IMPORTANT TO YOU THAN THIS IS THE GO TO DO IT ALL BROWSER APP ALL IN ONE !!!!! I APPRECIATE THE WORK IT WAS PUT INTO THIS BROWSER AND LOOK FORWARD TO TRYING OTHER APPS BY YALL IN THE FUTURE !! I would like to speak with the developer more about some other issues im having and see what his thoughts is !
5 ★ I'm just going through the settings and privacy/security and well, um you guys are, simply put, badass! You've done to the basics of this browser what takes the rest of the browsers control settings an inordinate amount of time in relation to the task. Thank you & keep up the above-par work!
2 ★ This browser was alright at one point now its just not working at all it went from good to bad just like every other app on my phone its all full of bs ! Im just over it
4 ★ It's great but the thing underneath the searchbar and at the top of the results saying to try tye mobile website is really annoying me. Make a way to permanently remove it, and you'll have five stars.
2 ★ Can not look anything up. Every time that I type something in and hit the magnifying glass icon my keyboard just pops back up
