3 ★ I was enjoying this quite a bit. But they keep putting more and more features behind a pay wall. Don't get me wrong, I understand money needs to be made. But when features were free, and then aren't after an update, it's a letdown. Instead of them actually developing new content for paid features and letting old content be used for free. Codewars is a solid resource for free on a web browser for people who are now limited on practice material.
1 ★ Maybe if I could pay once. Not paying a sub. Also, you lose hearts ( you get 3 and lose 1 each time you mess up) that regen crazy slow, and then you can't learn anymore without waiting 5 hrs or paying? I'm going to find another app. The way the lessons are presented is heavily towards the paid version, and all the pop-ups for it get old fast and all the notifications? Nope. Delete.
3 ★ This is an amazing app. It not only starts off each course in very easy to absorb material, but it rewards you with achievements for each module you complete. The user interface is clean yet detailed and offers plenty of languages to learn right away without any paywalls or armies of ads, unlike many other apps. Very impressed. Only issue is the constant requirement of internet connection.

4 ★ Sometimes the AI guy gets in the way of seeing all of the code, i cant drag it out the way to see it so sometimes the code looks weird, and its because he's blocking some code. After pressing the 'x' for the AI, it shrinks down and stays in a specific spot. I'm trying to put my cursor on the code behind him, but hes in the way. That's all...
4 ★ I like Solo Learn. You get the information in bitesized chunks. It's easier to absorb that way. My only frustration is when I hit a difficult concept, like Dynamic Memory, I would like some additional information to give me more insight to it. Lots of pictures and diagrams explaining it in English instead of computerese.
5 ★ Great app! I messed up and ended up paying for the Pro version, but not unhappy with it. I still going a steady pace. I have a few recommendations for user-well being. Pro members should have different xp shares (i mess up a lot and redo tons of lessons because i didnt understand a commnd) and because of that should be on a different league.(really unfair to players that are legitimately leapung ahead) I wish I could have pop up tests on my missed questions and better understand why I did.
3 ★ This app is great. But I only have about 45 minutes on the app and website. This is because they have a life system. And when you get a question wrong, you lose a life. You have 5 lives. And to get them back, you have to spend valuable in-app currency or wait 4 hours. Four. Whole. Hours. I was loving the thing until I ran out of lives. You can't even go back into completed lessons to go over things! Seriously, why. Back to looking for good programming teaching apps... ugh.
2 ★ This app is infuriating. I took both the intro SQL and Python courses and found them to be educational and enjoyable so I paid for the premium option. That is when everything took a nose dive. The intermediate python course is absolutely trash. Very minimal explanations that are also just terrible. The coding exercises are poorly executed, and are looking for their specific style of coding. So, now I'm out $50. Just use the free version
1 ★ Sololearn's recent decisions have left users furious! They removed integral topics and split courses into beginner and intermediate levels, all while raising the premium price. It's a clear regression, not improvement. Users want comprehensive courses, like the old CSS and JavaScript ones that covered advanced topics. Sololearn needs to rethink its strategy and prioritize learners' needs. It's time for a change, or users will flock to better alternatives! With the help of AI you can do better!🤬
3 ★ I've spent a lot of time over a few years with this app. I'd like to say I love it, but overall it's been frustrating. The courses could be more carefully crafted. The streak system is just odd and is often mis-reported. The app has value but really needs improvement. I'm finally looking elsewhere (should've left sooner but was hoping they'd update it).
3 ★ I see potential, but I also notice a problem which may be a personal problem that I'll try to solve in order to change the rating to something more ideal. Like 4 star; if it works it works 😉 or 5 better than expected 🤙, which it is close to 5. See my problem is 1: when entering a course it's substantially darker & 2: being that once in the console output the only pressable button is output & the 3 buttons at the top(nothing in those either.). It's likely a personal problem though.
4 ★ I really like the app, it explains everything well and it's even fun to see how I can littlerly create stuff now. The only issue for me would be the hearts, I understand that they are all easy questions but sometimes you ask more difficult ones about things you may have not covered as much as other things. It's cheap yes but I don't have a source of income or card(I'm 15). Still a really good app though.
5 ★ Having a fantastic experience on the app so far. Haven't ran into any issues as far as I can tell. I have currently reached Lvl 8 and have topped #1 in all Leagues so far. Currently on Mars League and sitting at #1 by a large margin. All the Lessons are good and teaches you what you need to know in the subject of your choice. Other than some being kind of trick questions or from time to time the Practices being a bit too picky I find the whole experience fun and effective!
1 ★ Used to be 5 stars, then they ruined it. Ads after every section makes me not want to use your app. I understand that you need revenue, but using ads doesnt make me want to pay for your service, it just makes me close the app. Also, the practice sections where you have to create your own program to solve the problem isnt good. The solutions have to be EXACTLY the same as the intended way to solve the problem, no variation. You do it their way or you dont do it at all.
