App permissions

RT310i 2.1.10 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

1 ★ The message to update firmware pop-up but when tried it failed over and over and the receiver shows different temperatures that it should be. You need to correct this ASAP!!!!

1 ★ Another 2020 disaster! When I installed a whole new system in the house 2 years ago, this app worked...ish... but it was never quite right. The timings set in the schedule don't actually match the times the boiler actually turns on and off, its supposed to be 'smart' and the house should be that actual temperature at that specified time. Well, thats the idea anyway! I've had enough and have just bought Hive. To be installed ASAP! Bye bye salus. Its not been a satisfactory union....

1 ★ Why do I have to login every time into the app? IT remembers the username and password, but i have to click login every time I open the app. It could do with an autologin!

2 ★ The application was developed by amateur devs, the message when there is an issue if you can't connect or the devices losses the synchronisation is not helpful at all.

1 ★ Rubbish. Won't update. Unreliable, waste of money. Looked down all the reviews salus haven't answered anyone's concerns. It comes on when it's turned off and sometimes doesn't work at all. And also have to log on every time I use it.

1 ★ Wow.how can an app be this bad. Not even any options if you enter an invalid password to correct. An app to control a boiler in 2020 should be absolute childs play. Wish I knew how bad it was before I got lumbered with it.....AVOID Salus thermostats.

2 ★ Updates RT310i don't work. After updating, the thermostat flashes continuously. It is very difficult to restore factory settings after updating. 1. Update Privacy Notice and Licence Agreement for English language 2. Support +/-1C, +/-1.5C, +/-2C Hysteresis setting

3 ★ Very frustrating app. You need to close the app completely before making a change for it to work, otherwise it's fine, although this is the main reason you would use it which is why it's annoying.

1 ★ If your plumber has suggested a heating controller that requires this app DON'T! Unfortunately I couldn't give it less than one star. Useless. The app has just turned the heating off while the house is still cold for no apparent reason. Also, it would be good to be able to override the schedule for e.g. an hour and then it go back to the programme. From the lack of response to my original review I guess either the developers are overwhelmed with poor reviews or they don't care.

1 ★ The app is not working properly, logging me out on every second time I open it. Usually, when I change between manual operation and off positions, I have to close the app and open it again to make sure it has registered my command. Most of the times it doesn't happen from the first try so I have to open it up a few times and wait until I am sure it worked. Overall it is not simplifying the operation of my heating system but just the opposite!

1 ★ It is a pity that zero stars is impossible. This app worked perfectly for several months and the stopped for mo apparent reason. We have to on several phones and it stopped working on any of them. We tried rebooting and reinstallatiom all to no avail. The sheer lack of reliability makes it redundent. I will be installing a new device but rest assured it will NOT be Altech.

1 ★ Rubbish app. The whole system is rubbish. Constantly have to re-pair. The app usually takes a few tries before the schedule actually changes. Such a frustrating piece of equipment. Had I been able to research and pick my own app (gas installer set it all up) I would never have picked this one. Steer clear!

1 ★ the worst apps ever, nerver syncing with the thermostat... i never had this issues before the last update.

1 ★ Relying on an electric heater via a remote switch plug socket to keep me and baby warm this winter while the app refuses to do anything and I can therefore either have the heating off all night or on all night. It's ridiculous that I can't set timers on the heating without an app but absolutely shocking that the app then doesn't bloody work! God knows how the elderly get on with this rubbish. Honestly guys sort it out. End of November is probably not the best time for an update that crashes everyone's heating really is it. Awful.
