App permissions

RCA WiFi Camera V3.0.37 APK requires following permissions:

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Allows an application to modify global audio settings.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows applications to enter Wi-Fi Multicast mode.

Allows mounting and unmounting file systems for removable storage.

Allows an application to record audio.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

This constant was deprecated in API level 8. The restartPackage(String] API is no longer supported.

Allows an application to broadcast sticky intents.

Allows an application to read or write the system settings.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to call killBackgroundProcesses(String].

This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.

Allows an application to read the low-level system log files.

Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.

Allows an application to collect battery statistics

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.

1 ★ Dont ever update this app. Cause once you do it will never ever work again. Cant open any pics or video recordings. Dont waste your time and money on this garbage. Why even put an update out that makes the thing compleatly unuseable?

2 ★ needs work. camera works but cant set schedule for timing. Cant edit files and multi select and delete. also cant combine out door cameras and inside cameras on same app. Dumb.

1 ★ Horrible app stores data for later viewing but does not allow you to view crashes every time

1 ★ Do not purchase. Cannot connect without a 2.4ghz connection, and even if the camera says it's connected the app won't ever move past the connecting screen. Go buy a hardwired camera instead, these are junk.

1 ★ DO NOT BUY!! Connected once with no video. Turns off by itself. You have to log into app every time you want to "view". You have to be on the same Wifi as well. Useless!!! Bought today, returning today.

2 ★ The app logs you out too soon causing notifications to not work. Will randomly not connect to camera.

1 ★ This allowed me to create an account but didn't ever allow registering rca door bell device. Had to use "rca security" app.
