App permissions

Video Doorbell 1.0.9 APK requires following permissions:

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows access to the vibrator.

This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.

Allows an application to modify global audio settings.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows mounting and unmounting file systems for removable storage.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows an application to change the Z-order of tasks.

Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

3 ★ could be better. first off you must charge this device when you get it. you will have connection problems if you don't. It temporarily uses Bluetooth (which makes setup easy) during the setup to acquire the device ID. So make sure Bt and wifi are on. It will immediately want to update so be sure your close to router to avoid issues during that time. Image quality is good but frame rate is low. 2-3 frames per second. Live view has no option to record manually. No inside bell.

1 ★ The doorbell is great. Better built, louder speaker and fast connection better than Ring. BUT, app is horrible. It lags, glitchy, cannot connect and now it logged me out and giving me error about network. Hope they can fix this. Update 8-9-2019, App is trash. Can no longer use the doorbell because it doesnt let you log-in anymore. Kinda tired keep on contacting Digoo every 3 months. Horrible.

2 ★ This app started off pretty good once I improved my wifi, but now as everyone says it only awakens if you go outside and push the doorbell yourself or if it does work, it picks up after the person has already walked off. As of yesterday, the app logged me out and it won't accept my login credentials, without logging in you can't use the doorbell at all. If the company or system has went down or out of business i would have appreciated a heads up, because this was an expensive doorbell.

1 ★ The application doesn't allow to register (shows an error that network is unavailable, with a spelling error) so technically the door bell is useless. It's hard for me to understand why registration isn't optional especially that this doesn't seem to work. I feel that this is a scam and should be reported.

1 ★ Same issues as other post: doorbell stays offline which results in no live notifications....only recordings I can watch later, app will not update, doorbell will not activate from the app (by pressing doorbell button), no instructions on how to charge battery, can not add other users as stated. Emailed them about issues and was asked to submit video.....??? I guess I'm supposed to record myself installing the app and connecting doorbell to wifi....

2 ★ What the... Trying to update firmware but failed each time. What version you users have?... App version 1.0.9 and firmware 1.0.7 what is it trying to update to??? Very frustrating... Doorbell is great when it works. When not... Bloody useless

3 ★ Works great! Needs push notifications but otherwise its a great easy app to maneuver. 2-04-19 not working now. Says no network. But we had everything checked. Bought a wifi booster and will update my thoughts once i connect it tomorrow.

1 ★ Does not connect and the message reads " Login Failed: no network, please check". Something very dodgy. My network is working fine. Except for this app. There is an email of the developer but no response.

1 ★ It just doesn't work. Not sure if it's the app, the cloud service or the doorbell itself. It never connects, never activates the app when the button pressed, won't run motion detect. A complete rip off from digoo.

1 ★ Same as last recent June 2019 reviews. The videos will not upload any more. Also now today cannot get the app to open. The actual camera itself is good but the software is the problem

1 ★ USELESS! Will not connect to my home network, regardless of how many times I try. The Digoo XYA is a waste of time and money!

2 ★ Well it works if you are on the same wifi ssid for video/voice. As soon as I switch phone to 4G only it rings but no video or voice - just spinning circle "Establishing secure video channel..."

1 ★ Useless. Doorbell is always offline. Works for a few days after set up then stops. Won't go back online.

5 ★ Great app works perfectly on S8 but Needs update so can select ALL to delete ALL at once not one at a time. Had a bit of messing around with it as got latest Sky BB router had to split 2.4 and 5GHz so app would work

1 ★ Waste of money, audio rubbish, constant background interference, echos all words, unpairs after 2 days of no use, complete waste of money, 1 star because no option for 0 star
