The login credentials for Tech Pack mobile application are different from Tech Pack Mobile & Gadget Cover website. First-time users should create a new account by registering in Tech Pack mobile application.
This app can help users get the most from their mobile phone by checking functionality and features are performing as they should be. If any issues are found then there’s lots of information available on how to put things right.
Once the app’s been downloaded onto your handset you can take advantage of the following:
• Scan for any issues to ensure it’s healthy, secure and protected
• Receive alerts when an issue is detected so you can act fast
• Receive daily tips on how to maximise your phone’s full potential

App permissions
Tech Pack 2.5.19 APK requires following permissions:

Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows an application to find out the space used by any package.
Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to collect battery statistics
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows an application to read or write the system settings.
Allows applications to change network connectivity state.
Allows an application to clear the caches of all installed applications on the device.
Allows an application to read or write the secure system settings.

Declaring the permission implies intention to use the API and the user of the device can grant permission through the Settings application.

1 ★ This is so stupid, nothing really to do with your gadget insurance cos if you want to access this - the app activates a link and you are in your browser again on the website! This is mainly bloatware...... Should read all the info first b4 installation. My bad! Uninstalled within 5 min. Barclays - did not expect this from you!!
1 ★ Worst app ever. Doesn't do anything regarding managing your devices or policy. it opens a website page anyways which is always "unavailable ". Other features amongst the app are just general malware checks or battery level checks. It's 2019 fix this please. Always hard to manage my gadgets or ever make a claim with this company and the app is useless. I don't know why the app was put up on the Play Store.
1 ★ who ever developed this app had one thing in mind, to give you weeks of frustration, I have level 1 and 2 in in computer science and this app is the worst most confusing and useless app I have ever installed, i finally managed to get it set up after 2 weeks of messing around then I received my insurance certificate via email then received a letter saying sorry we were not able to recognise your bank account. total waste of my time and hope I will be compensated for this, perhaps the PPI claims
1 ★ Useless feature and it's not worth the money. Doesn't matter how long you've been paying monthly instalments they will still charge you £75 for every claim. And if you want to cancel then you have to do it in your bank not with tech pack team. Very disappointed
1 ★ Why would I give access to my device from an unknown provider? I don't want an app to scan my device, I should have the choice - I only wanted a simple way to submit claims without all of the battery draining chaff.
1 ★ Absolute rubbish, can't login using correct details. Even your website login is a joke and doesn't work half the time Update: well the response from developer is a joke, why must I create a brand new login for an account I already have and use on the web.
1 ★ After a long time decided to open the app so I updated it. Couldn't login with my previous details so created a new account and guess what, it's carp!! Where are my insured devices? I can't do anything I want to do. Please fix ASAP!!
1 ★ Verificarion email marked so heavily as spam the links were disabled and could not even be unflagged. May need to relook at how you manage the tech pack Barclays, this is coming over decidedly dodgy. Shame really as its a good product from a good bank.
1 ★ False advertising Possibly an app to scan your login details . Has the same icon as barclays teck app BEWARE ,DO NOT DOWNLOAD
1 ★ The worst insurance pack ever. After few months they've increased the price from £12.50 to £14.50 every month + they haven't even accepted my gadget insurance. It's better to go for normal insurance rather than this barclays scam.
1 ★ Doesn't do anything, I'm waiting for verification email for my account... annoying as it should be a straight forward registration... App deleted... not sure what's the point of this...
1 ★ Sent a new handset, locked to anotger network so was unusable. Reported this, they said they'd send a Pre paid postage box (further delay) yet that was never recieved. Now in the phone for half an hour waiting for a resolution. Useless

1 ★ useless.... can login in my computer with email and password but in this app tells me my password and email are incorrect
1 ★ It was not possible to register our mobiles phone because the app doesn't let us put the model phone and it is a mandatory, therefore I could not register any mobile phone. Sort it out for please.
