Description
Do you find your smartwatch's built-in backlight timeout period actually quite short? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could adjust the backlight timeout to have the screen stay on as long as you wish?
StayLit Wear lets you keep the light on for as long as you want - also for more than 30 seconds: 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, or unlimited until you switch the display off. StayLit offers a fine-grained scale for values between 5 seconds and 30 seconds.
On the Galaxy Watch 4/5/6, the extended light timeout will also apply when the watch has been waked by a gesture (this is locked to 5 seconds by Samsung).
NOTE: Some watch models (e.g. Galaxy Watch 4/5/6) force the light to be switched off when you lower your arm or turn your wrist, independently of the value you set in StayLit.
What's more, StayLit Wear features “automatic” mode: the light stays on until you switch it off, but is also switched off when you lower your arm or turn the watch away from you. That way, the light will be on exactly when you need it. (Note that also in this mode, StayLit respects the individual light timeout of apps like Google Fit, Maps, or Runtastic.)
Note: Setting a significantly longer screen timeout will reduce battery life. We recommend using "automatic" mode, or setting a value of 10 - 30 seconds...

2 ★ I have had re-purchase this app to get it to work on my Huawei watch. I had to purchase it directly from my watch. It works now but having to buy an app twice to get it to work is a bit naughty.
5 ★ Great App!!! I have a fossil watch for work. I'm a nurse and need to have my second hand visible to take a pulse. With this app I can have the face lit for as long as I need.
4 ★ It works again after the update. On my watch all the settings' selection dots stay green, instead of just the one you're on, but it still works

3 ★ UPDATE: I have to keep re-opening the app and tapping on the time. It seems like it only works for a short while and the watch sets itself back to the default 5 seconds (you also have to do this on every reboot). Also, Play store on the web shows this as purchased. Play store on my phone does not show this as purchased. Yes, these are all the same account. Play store on 1 watch shows installed, on another shows not purchased. None of this is synching up.... Dropped to 3 stars. Installed on my Fossil watch via the PlayStore app on the watch. I saw the app on the phone right away. It didn't work. No matter what I set it to, after 4 secs it would dim, then 1 sec later turn off. Even when I set it to 10 seconds. Restarted phone. Still dimming at the 4 second mark, off at the 5 sec mark. So still not working. Went into the app and saw it set to 10 seconds. Changed it to 15. NOW it stayed lit for about 10 seconds, dimmed and went to black 1 second later. Progress. I switched it back and forth between several timing intervals, and not it seems to be working ok. Once it works though, it seems to work. I'm baffled by why this isn't something built-into wear OS. So - 1) install directly on watch. 2) After you see the app installed on the watch, open it, fiddle with it, 3) Reboot watch 4) Reopen app. 5) Play around with the times a few times, and it should work. Can't give it 5 stars because of this.
4 ★ App works as described on my fossil gen 5 ALTHOUGH it took hours and several restarts for the app to show up on my watch after I purchased it on my phone. Then, once it did show up, it tried to make me buy it again but kept giving me an error code. Very confusing. Maybe downloading thru the app store on your watch would be better.
5 ★ Let me amend my review. Finally I was able to install it on my watch. It wasn't the app's fault, but something with play store. I would say, this app is essential for wear os watches. Hopefully google will realise it and put it into the "must have" category!
1 ★ Purchased several times through my phone and on my fossil watch play store. Never worked. Never got the app. Error code every time on the watch. How do I get this to work?? It seems to be the only app available to make the watch stay lit up longer. SO frustrating. And I was charged without actually getting the app!
4 ★ Hi. This app is great as it solves one of the main things that Google missed. As I have previously read trough the other reviews, I noticed it's a common issue for Fossil Group watches as no matter what screen time-out you choose, if you lower your wrist or other similar action, will immediately go back to DIM mode. However, I have tried all troubleshooting steps found, I have tried: 1. Disabled Fossil Smart Battery Modes 2. Uninstalled Stay Lit and reinstalled it 3. Updated Wear OS on my watch 4. Tried all modes from Stay Lit (including Indefinitely, + etc.) 5. Reset my watch to factory settings Nothing seems to work. I would appreciate a solution please. NOTE: I own a Fossil On Guard 2.5
