GroomTribe Styling and Shaving 8.1.4 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows applications to change network connectivity state.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an application to broadcast an Intent to set an alarm for the user.

1 ★ Back down two stars (now 1). Latest app (6.10.1) does not recognize any shaver for product info or warranty except the S7940. Currently have the S7782 and S7940, and the S7782 is nowhere to be found. Useless as a "coaching" app - the only accurate info is shaving time and battery level, found integral on many shavers WITHOUT an app. Rotational movement on the S7940 averages 70 percent, and on the S7782 35 percent, same technique, similar shavers. Not a serious or supported effort by Philips.

5 ★ This app works great and is fun to use, if not totally very practical. It connected easily to my new shaver. As you shave it gives you real time advice like "use smaller circles" "keep good skin contact" or "You're doing great." Then when you're finished it gives you a score on how well you did. It also asks questions such as "how much irritation do you feel?" and then gives advice. The 'not practical" part is that you need to watch the app as you shave. Since we all look in a mirror as we shave, you kinda' have to hold your smartphone up with one hand, shave with the other and look back and forth between the mirror and the phone. Maybe they'll offer an update where the advice could be 'spoken' instead of you having to read it. It also reminds you to clean the shaver after each use in case your wife isn't there to tell you that, lol. All in all, it's a fun app and works well.

2 ★ I don't like the fact that I have to login each and every morning even though it's saved in the system you need to change this

5 ★ between the razor and the app, best shaves from an electric I've ever had. Really cut down on my overall shave time... Smooth.😎

1 ★ My Pixel 4 meets their requirements and still having issues. The assessment would hang on "Welcome to your Groomtribe app" when I try to do the assessment regardless if I am logged in to an account or not. Cleared cache and tried to reinstall the app and it still doesn't give me the assessment. It also doesn't guide me with Bluetooth pairing. Edit: I downloaded an older version of the apk. The app now works for me. Clearly whatever change was made in the latest version did more harm than good.

1 ★ This app is ridiculous! Furthermore, product settings are unable to be changed unless within the app. I've paired my shaver and keep getting the "assistant" when I click on settings within the app. Not the only person having these issues with this app. These problems render the shaver practically useless. Shame that I will be returning this shaver tomorrow due to this app.

1 ★ The app is pure garbage 😡. The app fails to perform the initial assessment which then triggers the pairing of the unit with my phone (Pixel 3XL) and leaves me stuck unable to make any changes to the settings on this device. Who the dumbass in product development was that suggested an app to control nearly all functions of a razor needs to have their employment questioned.

5 ★ Great ideas Great app to know what your shaver is doing how much battery power you have any pure performing the shape to its optimum use

1 ★ The app won't even let me start talking to the assistant, all I get is "Hi there, welcome to the groomtribe app" and then NOTHING. It doesn't even want to pair with my brand new Norelco s9740. I bought it specifically because it had the extra settings. If I'd known the app was this junky, I would have bought a cheaper version, or better yet a Braun, and not wasted my money. PLEASE FIX THIS.

5 ★ Readily and easily connected to the shaver, the grooming plans are helpful and the suggestions and customizations are welcome.

1 ★ New S7940 shaver. App Pairs via Bluetooth with shaver, but no shave data and unable to change shave settings. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same result. No satisfaction contacting Customer Support. So far this app accomplishes nothing.

1 ★ Garbage app that doesn't even sync with my brand new shaver. I can't even change the settings on my shaver because it's controlled by the app, and the shaver won't pair with my Google pixel 3 phone. So ridiculously stupid! 0 STARS

1 ★ It sucks & the shaver sucks. Not enough POWER for more course facial hair...

1 ★ Garbage!! Brand new shaver and a newer Samsung smartphone and the garbage app refuses to function even though my phone is paired with it. I deserve a partial refund on this shaver...better yet I'm just going to return it.
