Description
To use the remote control, you must have your mobile / tablet is on the same wifi network as your TV . Detection of your TV will automatically and according to the model of your TV, you have to accept the message that appears on your TV. As the application runs on your home network, it is not necessary to be near to the TV .

1 ★ These televisions are trash. Always having connection problems, the app won't detect the TV, and customer service was trash. I've never experienced such terrible tech support. She offered absolutely no help, not even one attempt at troubleshooting, not one procedure, and basically said that without the remote, I'm stuck, since there's no way to switch from letters to numbers to input the wifi password, and the password unfortunately must contain numbers, otherwise I would have changed it.
1 ★ My TV wasn't detected on the WiFi network shared by my phone and my TV automatically, so I had to enter my IP address manually. But that wasn't a problem, and the app popped right up and across the top of the graphic (of the remote) was the msg: [TV]Phil TV detected However, any button pressed on the remote returned the same error msg: Your TV was not detected. Your smart TV and your tablet/phone must be connected to the same WiFi network. 1 word description: FAIL
1 ★ Does not work says I need to be on the same network and I am on the same frigging network... Helllloooo Phillips why cant you make an app since its you product!!!!!

1 ★ i really was hoping this one (after having to uninstall 12 other apps) that this would work on my 10 yr old Phillips TV! Didn't happen... it keeps saying it can't find my tv on the same wi-fi network. My phone and everything else is all on the same network. Ugh

2 ★ Guys, it's just a TV remote APP why the hell are you flussing us with all those ads. Why even want some money to upgrade to pro? I do understand that £3 in nothing but I do not understand why all this just for a TV remote app. At the end we gonna use for your TV!
1 ★ This app wasn't the most reliable when it was needed before the update. Now after the update, it's absolutely useless. It will not power on the television. It won't do much of anything except throw an ad in your face and quit. Awful.
1 ★ Well I've downloaded this first my Philips smart TV and it says that the device and the tv need to be on the same network??? Being that I only have one network it would be kind of hard for them not to be on the same network.
1 ★ App wouldn't connect to my Philips smart TV no matter how many times I tried. reset the TV, reconnected to wifi multiple times and even put in the ip and it just says I have to be on the same network as my phone for my TV and I've reconnected my phone as well to the 1 wifi we have. not worth the trouble even installing.
5 ★ To answer Darrel Moss's question... If your tv is hooked to wifi, you won't have to aim your phone directly to the TV. You'd be able to control the tv from another room behind a closed door.
1 ★ Even after manually inputting my Phillips Smart TV IP Address, my TV is showing as being discovered; but the application still says my TV was not discovered. Bad App -- Don't waste your time.
3 ★ Sometimes it can't find the TV. I have to Uninstall and reinstall which happens rather often. But when it connects it works perfectly.
1 ★ yet another app that says its connected to the tv yet doesn't control anything, can't even turn the volume up and down. Wifi works fine on the tv and my phone so its the app.
1 ★ Terrible. Won't connect to my TV even thought my phone and tv are on the same WiFi network, with the data for my phone shut off. Waste of time don't try it
