Description
Hal Higdon provides the perfect plan for you based upon your goals and experience, then Higdon crafts your personalized schedule. Your plan will incorporate the most important workouts on the days you’re able to run. Plus, the plan is always adapting to changes in your schedule, fitness, and goals. Run With Hal can even adapt your plan around times when you can’t run (vacation) and incorporate additional events that you’ve signed up for. Once you finish your first plan, you can choose your next goal and Hal will create a brand new plan for you. All of your workouts will give you specific details of how fast and long to run, and you will get daily helpful tips from Hal Higdon to help you reach your goals and learn about running.

From novice to advanced, Hal offers plans for every distance, skill level, and pace. Incorporating wisdom from Hal’s bestseller Marathon: The Ultimate Training Guide, he has you covered with more than 50 years of training and coaching experience.
Hal is a Contributing Editor for Runner’s World and is the magazine’s longest lasting writer, having contributed an article to RW’s second issue in 1966. He also is the author of over 3 dozen books, including Marathon: The Ultimate Training Guide and Hal Higdon’s Half Marathon Training. 5 ★ I loved the app. It's great motivation. I loved having a plan developed for me. The feedback the app gives is great. The advice on pace and mindset and dealing with adversity is amazing. Even though it's an app, I felt like Hal cared about my training.
5 ★ The plan available in the free app is perfect. Pick your long day, and include any other available days, and the rest is calculated automatically. I use a free pace monitor instead of the Hal+ sub to give me audio feedback during my run, and my watch tracks my distance, cadence, etc, anyway. If you're looking for a free app that does everything, this isn't it. But if you just need a graduated running plan, this one is excellent at no cost.
5 ★ This app was just what I needed as I prepared for my 1st Half-Marathon! It gives great feedback, and tailors training sessions to fit your needs and ability level. Can't say enough good about it!
5 ★ I love the programming that this app provides. I track my runs on my garmin, and sync it to run with Hal. It adjusts the programming if I slack off and miss runs, or do extra running on top of the programming.
5 ★ Wow! This app is amazing. I am a novice runner but in good shape from other sports. This app generated a running plan that was challenging but do-able. In just a few weeks my running has improved significantly. Great feedback on my workouts to help me adjust as I go. I feel very well prepared for my first big race!
5 ★ Excellent app for following training programs. Paid services are overpriced and largely useless: the paid app adjusts paces based on your previous runs. My best ever 5k is 20:53, the app used this to determine my HM pace is 4:05/km LOL!
5 ★ I just wish it were more flexible. For example, if I have a conflict on Saturday, I have to lie if I instead run Ssturday''s on Sunday and Sunday's on Monday. Otherwise program got me thru my first half marathon at age of 79. YEA TEAM!!! (me and Hal)
2 ★ I've paid for my first year and using the app. So far it's nothing much than some free manual plans, blog posts and tips you can find online. It has the ability to connect to Garmin Connect, but just to pull the pace and distance of your runs... I wish the developer could just invest a bit more in creating the running workout to sync with Garmin watch... Right now I have to do it manually, or need to remember what I need to do while working out. Very inconvenient!
1 ★ Use to love this app but tried to log on after a 3 month break and now it is stuck on the load screen and never loads 😔 tried emailing the support staff and still haven't heard back

5 ★ I wanted something that told me how much to run to build up for a future marathon. So far it does that. I use the Adidas app and it would be nice if it worked with it. It's easy enough to enter the info manually
1 ★ App freezes and now I can't use it. Lasted 2 days. Soon as I subscribe it stopped working, pink loading circle for hours
5 ★ Fills the structure void when you don't have any races to train for, but become a slug when left to your own devices. Only wish I could move around workouts.
