2 ★ So many little ui bugs make it frustrating to use. Instead of replacing the 0.00 when you enter the amount, it just inserts the number wherever your cursor happened to be. When "reviewing" a payment about to send, and you change apps, the amount gets sent anyways so I can't actually review it. Messages/comments can't be copied from old payments.
1 ★ Continues to get worse. Forces browser log-in when changing between accounts, while constantly trying to auto-fill info. Pushing options regularly that there is no interest in. The old app was much better; now it's more of a hassle than it is worth. How many consecutive security challenges can you require in a row for a simple log in?? And if you type your password in, you'll do another half dozen or more once again. A huge waste of time, especially if you have multiple PayPal accounts.
4 ★ I'm switching slowly all my regular banking to PayPal. It's easy to use, always open, does everything a regular bank does only faster. I get my check 3 days earlier than I used to and it counts when you only get paid once a month. Would be 5 stars if the dispute area were easier and not as finite a person should be able to redispute especially if charges are still trying to come through from the same place on a closed card that was closed due to this issue. Otherwise I'm loving it!
1 ★ App works fine with the exception of the request money function which consistently errors out. I contacted customer support and they agreed my account is verified and should be able to make requests, "so there must be a system issue". My other contacts are able to make requests so a system issue seems unlikely. At the end of the call they recommended I "just use another app". I will gladly re-rate if someone can help me with this issue instead of just giving up.
2 ★ I keep on having auto login turn on spontaneously when I have two factor authentication turned on, do not share my password or phone with anyone, and log out after every session. And yes, my phone is updated, a newer model, and the app is also updated, as is the Chrome browser I am using. Not sure why this keeps on happening. Update: I am consistently in contact with customer support. Issues keep on happening.
1 ★ Forced to use PayPal to prepurchase tickets for a convention. Now, PayPal will not allow me to close the account. Don't need it, don't want it, don't trust it, shouldnt be forced to have an account with it tied to my personal accounts. Update, the app has the option to 'close account' , but it does not work. Had to go the the website to finally cancel. Could still never recommend this app for anyone.
1 ★ Was working fine until the other day. Now just shuts off as it's loading. I received an error notice stating that the app has a bug and I need to wait for the developers to fix it and then reinstall updated app. I have to go to the web-based version to get in right now. Just to be sure I did uninstall/reinstall and cleared cache. It didn't work.
1 ★ PayPal JP service, in general has been nothing but a dumpster fire for me. It took forever to get the information the verify my account. I tried linking my primary bank account to my PayPal, only to be met with errors. I linked my second bank account, transfer went through, only to be told, almost a week later it fell through. Got told to wait 3-6 business days to try to transfer again, its not like I needed that money for last month's rent or anything...got sent to pages that don't exist, yay!
1 ★ Very shady company. Trouble with almost anything I do on the app whether its connecting to my bank account (still hasn't worked) or simply using money in my account to pay for an item. Tried already to make a clause allowing them to fine customers when they seemed fit. When I did call to ask about a payment issue, I played with an automated vm for 10 minutes before finally transferring me to a human, where I then had to wait and finally gave up on waiting. Taking my business to cashapp for sure.
2 ★ UPDATE: I own the latest high end phone created by Google, the Google Pixel 8 Pro. Unfortunately, there is a bug in the app and it doesn't work on my new phone. Please review the issue and fix the problem. I like PayPal and I've been a valued user over the past couple of decades. (OLD) I have enjoyed using PayPal over the years. The app was very beneficial until recently. Now, half the time I try using the app, I receive an error message. Please fix the app. My phone is a Google Pixel 7.
1 ★ Can't find services in places that they were previously in. I need to cancel auto payment on two subscription, used to be in wallet. Now I can't locate them anywhere. Hate having to try to get hold of customer service "during regular business hours", with hold times that take up my entire break time during those hours while I'm at work. Also, no longer able to transfer funds to my bank Debit card. Going to have to find another option.
1 ★ Used to allow multiple accounts and remember them in the app, just signing in by selecting the account and scanning fingerprint. Now it makes me manually type in the full email and password when switching accounts, and doesn't save the username or password. Worse still, it makes me do the annoying Captcha picture selection each time. Very frustrating and time consuming.
1 ★ I'm having issues logging into my account with the app. I have a Samsung S21+. The app crashes after logging in with a fingerprint or my password. I've cleared cache and storage, uninstalled the app, and rebooted my phone. It still doesn't work. (The email address you have listed in the Play store isn't valid any longer. )
1 ★ Added my Chase bank account and debit card, and PayPal keeps telling me that the account is not working right now. Bank says everything is good on their end. Spoke to PayPal about this a few times now, and they say "our security system has stopped us from transferring the funds". They say I can still use my account, but just not transfer money. WHAT?!!! What good is that? So until they fix this and treat everyone fairly, I strongly recommend everyone should avoid PayPal.
4 ★ It's a bit difficult to get the app to except some information. Like most apps it has its draw backs and it's pluses. It certainly was easy to transfer my money to my bank account. That was the plus, but it wouldn't take my business Google voice number. So I had to use a family members cell number. Which means I can't get my messages from PayPal if they try to contact me. Oh well gusse they will figure iit out.
