Description
Download FreeFlight Mini free of charge in order to pilot Parrot Minidrones.
INTUITIVE PILOTING
FreeFlight Mini’s easy-to-use interface makes piloting simple, even for beginner pilots. The app connects to your Minidrone via Bluetooth Low Energy. Once connected, select your preferred piloting method and take-off. You can pilot using virtual joysticks, the parrot remote or by tilting your smartphone/tablet in the direction you want your drone to go in Accelerometer mode.
EASY CONNECTIVITY
The FreeFlight Mini App automatically detects which Parrot Minidrone you are using.
Simply turn on your drone, activate Bluetooth on your smartphone/tablet and open the application. Select your drone from the list that appears on the screen. Your drone will then connect and you are ready for take-off! If you’re using Mambo FPV, activate wifi on your iDevice and connect to your drone in the app.
List of drones compatible with this application: Parrot Mambo, Parrot Swing, Parrot Minidrones Airborne Night and Cargo, Hydrofoil*, and Rolling Spider.
*For Hydrofoil: place the Airborne Minidrone into the Hydrofoil structure, select Hydrofoil mode in settings, and start sailing across the water.
Parrot MAMBO FPV NEW FEATURES
The application will instantly recognize the FPV camera that you have connected to your Parrot Mambo. You can now save and transmit HD video content in real time! To completely immerse yourself in the FPV experience, simply place your iDevice in your Parrot Cockpit Glasses 2. You’ll see exactly what your drone sees and discover new, thrilling sensations thanks to this innovative function.
Become a FPV racing pilot using the three new pilot modes. Start with the Easy mode, which will keep your drone’s position in the air even after the controls have been released. Then, move on to Drift mode. This mode deactivates the horizontal stabilization, thus allowing for sharps turns and more complex maneuvers. Last but not least, push your piloting skills to the limit and try the new Racing mode. You’ll have complete control of the drone with no stabilization assistance. The possibilities are endless!
ACROBATICS, FLIPS & TURNS
From the home screen of the FreeFlight Mini app, you can easily access your settings for piloting, photos, and the "Parrot Cloud.” You can also customize flight parameters, including: altitude, speed and piloting mode (accelerometer, joypad). FreeFlight Mini app also includes fun features like one-touch flip:
- Experience loops, barrel rolls, and high speed 180-degree turns with Parrot Swing
- Front/back/side flips with Parrot Mambo, Airborne Minidrones, Rolling Spider and Hydrofoil*
*Only when it’s removed from the Hydrofoil structure and in flight mode
Parrot Minidrones are ultra-compact drones with impressive agility. They can fly both indoors and outdoors with great speed and stability.
PHOTOS
All Parrot Minidrones can take dronies of you and your friends. You can also store images from your drone races taken by Parrot Swing in plane mode.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR FLYPAD SETTINGS
The new Parrot Flypad allows you to pilot your Minidrone with extra-precision and control.
There are two ways to connect the controller to the Minidrone:
- Automatically and directly, without the use of a smartphone. This mode offers an increased flight range of up to 200 feet
- Through your smartphone or tablet. This connection mode allows you to monitor your flight status on your device’s screen, and simultaneously pilot the Minidrone using the controller
You can customize your Flypad controls to suit your piloting preferences through the use of the FreeFlight Mini app. Turn on your Parrot Flypad and select it in the “controller” section of the app.
*To pilot Parrot Minidrone Jumping Night, Race, or Sumo, you need to download the FreeFlight Jumping app.

This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
Allows an application to change the Z-order of tasks.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

2 ★ The overall flight is decent with this app but I can't figure out how to access the camera and nobody from Parrot will get in touch. I have the Hydrofoil mini drone which I bought mostly for photos. **Can anyone help me solve this issue? It's been a month now.
1 ★ The app no longer connects to my mambo fly. I can see and pair the drone in Bluetooth, but app doesn't recognize the drone at all.

Facebook Api is out of date as it gives you an error screen while trying to log in. the battery life on a parrot mambo is 10 mins, by the time this app.connects your on your 5th battery... seen faster snails... inserted a sd card into my drone. when recording nothing saves whatsoever.. ridiculous app
1 ★ Old version was great. Had not used drone for quite a while and when I reconnected found this new version which sucks. Menus not self evident, poor connections, and range of controller is now only a few meters. Why did you screw up the old version?
1 ★ I downloaded the app so I could use the VR goggles on my drone. However, when the app loads up it asks to be able to write systems settings, which no matter how hard I try, I cannot enable. Please help
5 ★ At first my drone didn't connect but then I found out all you need to do is turn on location and it connects. Great app overall. And easy to use!
1 ★ I have never been able to connect my drone to this app, not before and not after updating firmware. Another drone ruined by poor programming and lack of support. I thought parrot was different but I should have gone with a cheaper Chinese alternative.
1 ★ I got a Parrot Swing for Christmas. It connects and works fine with the Flypad, but this app doesn't find either device. I'm running Android 6.0.1, Bluetooth is on, and I've updated the drone to the latest firmware. I guess the app is not really necessary to use the drone, but since installing it is one of the first things the manual tells me to do, I figure it ought to work - not just make me waste my time researching and troubleshooting.
1 ★ This app is garbage ....😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡 Will connect once and then will disconnect and not reconnect ... I am in IT and understand what is happening with connections and am doing every thing necessary to make this work and is still not working I wish there was another app to control my rolling spider
1 ★ Updated to fly/drive my mini hydrofoil. Does not find the drone at all now. Updated drone firmware and running Android 10, tried every combination of which device to turn on first. Just will not connect. Useless.
3 ★ The app was great and did what it was supposed to do until the latest update. Since this update, my Parrot Swing has been unable to any of the "tricks" like the barrel roll or flip. I have cleared cache and data and reinstalled the app but my drone does nothing when those buttons are pressed. I can still fly the drone with this app but no "tricks". I couldn't find a "report a problem/bug" button in the app, so I'm posting here.
1 ★ Describe my experience, well in short words "it sucks" doesn't connect, I've done software update, I've deleted and reinstalled I've reset my drone and Nada.. If anyone else has any other option or ideas please advise.. thanks
1 ★ This app is beyond anything I've ever seen. The worst...BY FAR! When trying to connect a drone, sometimes it just doesn't connect. I'll select the drone, and it will say, "Connect to Drone!" This causes me to have to force close the app in Android's settings and try again. I don't know if this is interference, for they are in the classroom environment, with 10-15 drones at a time. Also, when the app is displaying the drone speed, it is EXTREMELY laggy, 10 sec. behind in fact! Hope this is fixed!
1 ★ This god damned update has prevented my drone from connecting. Before the update it would connect without a problem. Now it gets stuck on Establishing Connection (or something to that effect) then eventually asks me to connect again and repeats the same process. It recognises my drone as an available drone but will not connect. My drone turns off before it can even get connection. Can you make an older version available for download so I can actually use my drone?
1 ★ Does not work out of the box or after instaling all the latest updates (3.0.26). Lost a day trying to make it work on LG V20, Asus tablet and iphone 8+. Atempted multiple reinstals, cash and data cleanings and drone resets with no result. Was able to get video on both phones only once (without a controler), but as soon as the drone took off, it lost connection to the phone and it become uncontrolable. Shame on you parrot. I have several $50 FPV drones and I could set everithing up out of the box.
