1 ★ This app is absolute garbage and keeps getting worse. Requires constant data connection - terrible for anyone who spends time in rural areas or drives through them. Now takes forever to reopen an audiobook you were just listening to. Refuses to work. The recent redesign is atrocious. Audiobook play is replaced with a pointless Libby button. What does the Libby button do? It seems to show me my library card or something - not an activity I needed made central. This thing has become a shtshow.

1 ★ STILL NOT FIXED What is wrong with your app dev team! This app constantly says that the book that is downloaded to my phone is not able to open for lack of connection. Once more, if it's DOWNLOADED to my device why does it need a CONNECTION!!! What's the point!!!!! FIX IT! Orugunally posted January 2021 Remove this prerequisite! Why does this app require a connection in order to read a book that has been downloaded to your device. Ridiculous! That defeats the purpose. Remove this prerequisite!

5 ★ It's super easy to join & use. Borrowing, holding, renewing & returning are all so easy to do. I love having audio books for long drives. The category system also makes it easy to find the type of book I'm after. The ads are clearly not so intrusive as I can't remember seeing any. The only improvement that I would suggest is this: is there any way to download the entire book (temporarily) into my phone so that if I'm out of internet coverage (remote areas of Qld for example) I can still listen?

3 ★ I used to love this app (5 star)... now not so much. The app is now more difficult to navigate and use. The worse thing is that my favorite feature is no longer working. I cannot even find a setting for it. Please bring back pausing an audiobook by pushing and holding the main button for a couple of seconds. I use a Plantronics Explorer 505. TYVM

2 ★ Love that I can get audiobooks too. There is a glitch with the downloaded audiobooks. If my phone receives any texts or notifications while offline, playback stops and the download disappears. When I get back online, all progress is lost and I have to find my page again. Update: Was offline for the weekend and the app wouldn't open at all. What's the point of having a download function if you can't access the app when offline?

2 ★ Love this app, until it crashes (again) and loses all my saved tags, and I no longer have lists. I've read hundreds of books since I started using this app. Very disappointing to lose all that history. I use GoodReads to keep track of what I've read on Kindle, but that updates automatically. I guess I'll start manually entering on GoodReads what I've read on Libby. EDIT: The app now ties to my library Overdrive account, and syncs the Wishlist. I'll still lose tags, but can maintain a wishlist.

5 ★ This app is seriously the best. I use to be a huge reader as a teenager, but I stopped reading for years. This app has helped me find my love for reading once again. So many options of audiobooks and books based on your libraries selections. It really is amazing. But you do have to have a library card!

4 ★ One star less because I can't download my first audiobook - it keeps failing no matter what I do. Seems to be a common problem without any clear help from Libby. Please, devs, get this sorted! Edited to add: Thanks to a previous reviewer, who suggested turning on aeroplane mode, I successfully downloaded the audiobook! Defo a bug that needs solving.

1 ★ Horrible design. Very user unfriendly. The RBDigital app this replaced was far easier to use. I am also unhappy that many books Libby had have disappeared in the past few weeks. I was working my way through multiple series and now several of the books that used to be there (in the middle of the series) have disappeared. They're not checked out by someone else. They are completely MIA. I asked one of the librarians at our local branch what had happened & she did not know.

1 ★ Very poor, try to read a book and the play button doesn't work, you have to click around to open the book to start reading, titles will not fully downloaded for off line listening the interface to look for books is very clunky, many titles are only available for 7 days, try reading aong audio book in 7 days. RBDigitial was much better.

1 ★ Unfortunately there is not an option to give 0 otherwise I would do. I have been trying to use this app since my local library changed from rbdigital (which was brilliant) with very little success. This is not user friendly, it doesn't appear to have an option to download next magazine issues automatically and only opens up magazines sporadically. It is now asking for library account verification after a few months use but is unable to connect to my local library therefore it is not useable.

2 ★ The app has many many books and audio books that I am very greatful for. But the User Interface, UI, is very poorly designed. Your fingers and gestures have to make unintuitive movements with no flow to them, the big center button takes you to the notifications page, which is used at most once a day. If you are on one page/tab, and move to a seperate tab, then back, you have to renavigate from the beginning. The app tells you that the audio is downloaded, but wont let you listen offline.

2 ★ Sadly over the last two weeks this app has become almost unusable. Navigation is near impossible because large areas of the screen randomly go black and unresponsive. Or the screen will split and show some areas in duplicate. Worst of all, the app often just freezes, forcing a reboot. Reinstalling has made no difference.

1 ★ Just awful. Badly designed. Unintuitive. A prime example of how not to design a user interface. Search for a popular book and it will sometimes only list the audiobook version. Why? As soon as you look at its notifications they disappear! What use is that? And many, many other problems. I wish my library would move back to Cloud Library.

1 ★ Constantly forgets my library cards, tags, and history. Between bouts of forgetting, I wish the recent/timeline view still had titles and format info - it's very difficult to quickly scan through for a book you want to re-check out when all you have is a very tiny picture. Would also be way more useful to have the play/pause button instead of a close book button on the little bar that shows my current audiobook when I open the app.
