4 ★ Edit, I stand corrected. Though my disgust for ads has not changed, I mistakenly installed this version rather than the ad free version I purchased. I'm a dingus. Solid app, keep up the good work.
5 ★ Usually I love the app. Today 3/22/21, an update occured and, after that, the app crashes upon opening everytime. Edit: Dev comment was completely correct. Uninstalled webview updates and it works like a charm. Not the app's fault at all
5 ★ Been using for a while and it's my favorite way to browse reddit on mobile. Newest update finally added a feature that I've been wanting for a while: being able to exclude subreddits from post options, so A+ for now. Maybe next we can block users from their profile screen? Or any way other than typing the names manually into the filter.
5 ★ New Samsung A7 Tablet and bacon reader crashes every time I try to open it. Runs fine on my Pixel 3 or my old Nexus 10 After reloading my tablet everything works fine as I had issues with other apps too. Rating change Frome one to give stars.
4 ★ Edit: Turned off no titles; much better. I've purchased and used this app for years even after trying out some of the alternatives (especially for mod support reasons) but keep coming back because this one feels like the best UX for me. I would still love better support for modmail and mod queue.
4 ★ Really like the app, but can you add a feature to be able to delete single searches from your search history? If you spell one word wrong it stays there until you clear all searches, but I don't always want to do that
5 ★ Great app with a pleasantly simple UI. One feature I find missing is the ability to gift the new non-standard rewards. At the moment only the choice between gold and silver is available.
3 ★ Been using the app fit years with veryfew complaints. The 3 stars are because lately when I close the app it does not retain the up or down votes I have made. So the next time I open the app I have a lot of read content that doesn't have my vote on it.
1 ★ Wow, been using this for a long time. Today it starts randomly playing ad music that I cannot turn off. Uninstalling and I wouldn't recommend, try apollo instead
5 ★ Best reddit app, imo. I like the black theme and customization options. I've been using this free version for years now on many different devices and have never really had any issues aside from some intrusive ads here and there, which they fixed a while back.
5 ★ New update breaks i.redd.it links for me. Can't get them to open in browser despite it being set that way in settings or trying to force it after it opens in-app. Update: 4/16/21 patch fixed the issue. Thanks y'all!
1 ★ Only reason I used to use this app was because of the ridiculous amount of ads on the real reddit app. After trying this app again after a while though this is full of ads just the same, so there is no point to use Bacon reader.
4 ★ Been using this app for pretty much as long as it's existed. That's is why I can only give it 4 stars - I have used it so much it literally burned the icons in the button bar in. Would be cool if the app shifted the icons around by a few pixels every time in order to avoid this issue.
5 ★ App keeps crashing and won't open. Edit: seems like a Microsoft update gone wrong. Still unable to update the Google web browser and Chrome.
3 ★ Its a good app but the search function doesn't work at all most of the time which is a let down. Being able to search in Reddit is a must. Please fix this
