Segway-Ninebot 6.8.0 APK requires following permissions:
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows an application to access extra location provider commands.
Allows applications to change network connectivity state.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an application to record audio.
Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.
Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Required to be able to access the camera device.

1 ★ Rubbish app. Have had it for 12 days and it's so far been able to record 1 out of 3 rides. Whole interface is needlessly cumbersome. It's a scooter. Get rid of the bloat too. C'mon.
1 ★ The app doesn't allow to record the trip while the phone screen is off, making the recording feature unusable. I've checked the app/phone settings to see if any options need to change. No dice.
1 ★ Some of the notifications are not in English, the location of the scooter is not displayed correctly. The application often goes offline.
1 ★ Very bad app. Unable to track your daily distance. Once you switch off the scooter then actual ride is deleted. And much more unfriendly behavior.
1 ★ Keeps making me watch the video and do the test but won't go past that after I pass everything. Keeps asking me to do it again. Horrible
4 ★ So far I have not had any trouble with the scooter or the app but it updated a policy and won't let me read it
1 ★ The app over all is ok but I can't change the speed settings on my segway so I am stuck at 11mph and no matter what I have tried I can't change it.
3 ★ I feel the s-max steering is way too sensitive for riding. I base this on my almost 20 years riding my Segway's. I have owned the i167, i2, x2 and presently own i2 se. When riding s-max the slightest movement of the steering wheel makes you feel unsteady on it. Going over rough ground the wheel can't be held steady enough to make that type of ride. Make the max handle more like the segway i2 series. If there is an adjustment for this please let me know.
4 ★ Overall a good app, but has some flaws. For one, there's a bug with the riding history entries, if I click on them, a little chart shows up at the bottom, then disappears in a blink of an eye. It also lacks the opportunity to export riding data, which would be very interesting for me.
5 ★ I don't understand all the negative ratings and reviews. The app is working excellently and doing everything it should. The only point of critic is that first time connecting to Bluetooth is tricky. Android asks for a pin code, which cannot be found, and the app shows an unhelpful text in Chinese. Fortunately it also shows a pic of lifting the segway and that does the trick and completes the pairing process. From then on the app works flawlessly.
2 ★ Needs to be able to keep the phone screen on like navagation apps do to keep the tracking accurate
3 ★ Great app but i wish there was an option for calibration with extended handle on ninebot mini. Because after u step down without holding the handle it will move by itself which i can see it being a potential problem. What if u fell down and then my ninebot just moves and crashes to other people. I wouldn't want that.
4 ★ To bad that in lock mode if someone try to take it the phone doesn't inform you about that.
1 ★ You need to have excellent cellular service and the app has to be open nothing else operating like music. Try driving your car needing an app with excellent cellular service to drive it.5 city blocks no cell service you will be pushing your scooter and the 5 city blocks with cellular service you drive then another 5 city blocks no cellular service you will be pushing again. Why was this a great idea? Scooters without apps drive everywhere no problem add app with cellular your pushing the scooter
3 ★ Loses connection to scooter while waiting at traffic lights. Lock function is garbage, needs more resistance. Make it a brick without code or blue tooth. Can't wait for my immobilizer kits to arrive.
