True Amps: Battery Companion 2.9.9 APK requires following permissions:

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.

Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

4 ★ I like that this app has quite a few different options, dark mode & designed very good. The only thing I'd recommend would be for the free version to have at least 2 choices of style to choose from when charging.. maybe being able to permanently unlock the 2nd style after watching an advertisement instead of for 5 minutes & then after that having the same options as now to either pay or getting 5 minutes to check the feature out. I'm deleting it for now but may be back in the future

2 ★ One animation works and the rest do not. It could be totally my error as maybe I have not set it up correctly. I do have the paid version so was hoping for more from this app. I've emailed the developer but no response yet. This app when it works, looks great! Hope I will be able to get this going soon. Please help?!!!! 3 stars for now will be for sure when it's going without issue. ** Developer did reply, but still not working correctly. It's not getting a frustrating.... 2 stars more. HELP!

5 ★ Very well done app. I have some ideas to make the UX better: when selecting apps shortcut, i'd like to be able to costumize the order. Another thing about the apps shortcut would be to make possible to choose between: 1. To click to show the apps as it is right now 2. To have them on the bottom or some other part of the screen to directly click them. Still give you a high 5:)

2 ★ I purchased this on the basis of a YouTubers recommendation (I've unfollowed him now) and it looks great but it has some issues that need addressing. Firstly you should be able to turn the screen off after 10 minutes say. My docking station is next to my bed and the screen staying on all night is annoying. The other problem which is probably due to the screen staying on is that it takes ages for my phone to charge to full capacity! Needs a time out option to make the screen shut off, then 5 *

3 ★ I've used True Amps for years in a few phones now. Generally very happy. Lots of features and pretty tailorable too. Good jobs Devs! On my Honor 8X, the battery percentage shows perfectly, but the date and time are too high (ie they are partly obscured disappear by the three front facing cameras). I've adjusted the font sizes etc but the starting position is too high. A little control over vertical positioning would be ideal but for now I've disabled Date and Time.

5 ★ I love True Amps. It's customizable and looks great. I've installed it onto my Honor 8X and my Honor 20. Both look great when charging. Well done developers and thanks 👌😊 Update on 26th Feb 2021: I still love the app but can't work out why it is occasionally killed by both phones. Battery optimization settings seem correct and I've prevented the app from being accidentally closed down (ie "the padlock" is set). Overall, that's just a pretty minor inconvenience and I still love the app.

4 ★ Changed from 4 rating to 3 rating as i noticed slow charging with true amp on. It is a good app to enhance the lock screen experience. There are a lot many ways in which the app and the experience can be improved. Below are some of my wishlist features (I have bought the Pro version to support the app and the developer) : *Battery time left until full charge* *Smaller notification app icons* Cheers to the app! Keep improving....!

4 ★ I love the idea behind the app. Highly customisable although you have to pay for a lot of the better features (doesn't cost too much though). One big issue that stopped me using the app was that I noticed my phone would charge significantly slower when the screensaver was on. I knew something like this could happen before downloading the app but after having used it a few times I decided that the charging speed of my phone was important to me than a fancy screensaver whilst it was charging.

3 ★ I follow the steps, and nothing happens. I even watched a tutorial but still, nothing. I saw the charging screen flash for only 1 single second. I used an adblocker in-order to navigate my way through, but nope! Nothing, again. This app sucks.

1 ★ This app is rubbish. It might look cool but most of the time it simply doesn't work. You plug in your charger and it seems to randomly decide whether to come on or not. Been through all the settings to spot what's wrong and I eventually concluded its just a crappy app. Avoid. The developer response ignores the fact that with no configuration changes by the user whatsoever, it is hit and miss if the app works or not. I retain my 1star rating until this is resolved.

1 ★ STAY AWAY! DO NOT RECOMMEND! Not only this app does not work properly on latest Samsung devices, like S22/S23 etc, this app establishes connection with the internet! It's a major privacy concern, as it can collect your sensitive personal data with all the sensitive permissions that needs to be active and transfer it over internet.

2 ★ It was a nice app to have, but there is a significant hidden battery drain. This makes the battery charge a lot slower than it should while charging. It drains so much that when plugged into a normal USB port it even drains more power than it charges... (battery goes down), while without this app it charges normally again (1% up every few minutes). It drains more than many games you can play on your phone...

2 ★ Terrible overheating and depending on the charger can actually drain the battery while charging. It looks and acts very well as far as apps go but the above mentioned is far more than is worth the cool animation.

2 ★ Completely flawed. The animation makes charging almost at a stand still. I did a test with wireless charging. At 9.13am I was at 88% and it said 23 minutes till full charge. I came back at 9.30am without using my phone once and I was at 89%. I have screenshots for proof. Think twice about buying this app, the wave animation is nice but pointless if charging becomes almost non existant. Its not much better when plugged in charging too.
