There are many books on the issue of maulid, including: Maulid al-Barzanji, Maulid Simthud Durar or al-Habsy, Maulid Syarofil-Anam, Qosida Burdah, Maulid al-'Azab, and one of the most famous is Maulid ad-Diba'i (The BA').
Maulid ad-Diba'i or commonly known as "Diba '" is a book that contains things about the Prophet Muhammad. in literary terms. This term is taken from the name of the author namely al-Imam Wajihuddin Abdurrahman bin Muhammad bin Umar bin Ali bin Yusuf bin Ahmad bin Umar ad-Diba'i as-Syaibani al-Yamani az-Zabidi as-Shafi'i.
He was born on 4 Muharram 866 H / 8 October 1461 AD and died Friday 12 Rajab 944 H / 15 December 1537 AD He was a famous hadith scholar and was incomparable during his lifetime. He taught the book of Sahih al-Bukhari more than 100 times khataman. He attained the degree of al-Hafidz in the science of hadith, which is a person who memorizes more than 100,000 hadiths with his sanad and matan. Every day he teaches hadith from mosque to mosque.
Ad-Diba'i died in the city of Zabid on the morning of Friday the 26th Rajab 944 H, at the age of approximately 76 years.
