NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi Router 2.43.0.4421 APK requires following permissions:

1 ★ Just installed. The controls are very limited, and the reviews I'm reading indicate that it and the Nighthawk router only get worse with time. I wish I'd seen this and bought the Arris Surfboard router instead. The router had better retain peak performance for at least 2 years. Also, Netgear requires customer to be within warranty period, which is 90 days from connecting, unless they pay $30 for a 2 year extended warranty. The genie interface also has only a few settings which can be changed.

1 ★ I like the old way of typing in your up address. the idea that you now have to use the app when ever you get a netgear device pisses me off. I hate the app it takes for ever to set things up on, everything is super slow. if you want to push an app on some one at least give them the option to use the web interface as a 2nd option. I know u can do the web interface later but new routers require you to use the app or if you reset the router your back to the app again. I hate it!

1 ★ The app stops accepting the passwords after the first time. The fingerprint login is not allowed to let you login. Every time, after pressing login button, the app returns to the login prompt and complains that the login has expired. FIX IT! Reboot does not help!! Reinstalled the app, and tried to login to the router - same result: "your login has expired". I can't believe the developers did not test it. I have Samsung 8 phone. Update: Device manager doesn't show ANY connected devices!!!

2 ★ The product works. However, it includes data harvesting that is very hard to opt out of, including malicious system design that makes it even harder to do so. I completed the opt out requirements and then was presented with more "are you sure" requirements. I would not buy again. Shame, Netgear.

1 ★ App is total garbage. Won't ever load but maybe once out of every 10 tries. Now it forces me to use admin login and password which it will never accept even after resetting the admin password 100 different times. It's total garbage and you're better off using the website to manage your router. I cant wait til this thing dies so I have a good excuse to get a new router from a total different company.

1 ★ Oh boy where do I start.....for a "modern router" and a "modern companion app", y'all need to go back to the drawing board and erase everything you've done and start from scratch. There is absolutely zero reason that the router or the app should have THIS TERRIBLE of a UI. Please hire a UI team who actually knows what they're doing. Avoid letting the engineers and devs directly create the UI with no customer testing. Usable, but HORRIBLE.

1 ★ Pausing a device NEVER WORKS! Give this company negative stars....This app is so buggy. It rarely works, it logs you out and changes the default login saved. The worst part is the device manager is useless. It won't load 80% of the time and when you try to disconnect/pause just one device this whole app freezes or all devices disappear. The new device manager interface is horrible too. Pretty much useless app. Every NH router disconnects 24/7 and I've owned 4. App can't even open most the time!

1 ★ Terrible app! Just got a new modem/router. The only way to set it up, is to use this app. While the actual setup process was fine, olive I got the modem activated, there was nothing but issues with this app. It would constantly disconnect from the modem, it won't show all connected devices, it tells you certain things, but then when you go look into it, there's nothing there. I called Netgear, and they admit there's issues with it, but only tell you to keep seeing in bug reports.

1 ★ Would have given 0 stars however thats not the case, was able to access the app by factory resting the modem by using a paperclip or pencil in that little hole. Hold it for about 7 seconds, your modem will reset don't worry about unplugging cables & all that BS. Reset, open app, (for me it wanted to use my old SSID exactly like my older modem however,) if you look closely using the Nighthawk app select new system set up. Spam continue, once it asks to connect use what wifi u know is yours. GL 0*

1 ★ $242 after taxes for this router. Their app is complete trash. I get ads to buy more of their stuff, my phone says it's draining 1.42% of my battery per minute. You can't do much of anything with the app. The single worst router and software combination I've seen in my 37 years of life. Returning this the moment my Ubiquity arrives.

1 ★ I have had netgear for years and just upgraded to a new router as my old one couldn't handle the speeds and demand. Let me tell you out of the box the phone app doesn't work. Have not been able to use it and I have had this router for 4 months. Cannot see any devices on the app and the wifi extensions I have had for years do not work now either. Come on netgear people spend hard earned money on your products. Fix this mess.

1 ★ Absolutely BS. If you are looking for another product or "half a product" got with nighthawk. With the buy our expensive @$$ product and pay us even more money 💰 for our services with $50+ payments. And don't forget that half a year wait for any updates. If this is what your looking for, then you finally found it. honestly I would give 0 stars if possible. if you sell a product then sell the whole thing not just part of it. dosnt even say on the box anything about monthly payments... BSS👎👎👎

1 ★ Worst app I have ever used! If I knew this app was this bad I wouldn't have bought this nighthawk router! When you pause internet on a device, it takes hours and hours to actually work. When you try to unpause it later, it says unable and try again later! Plus, you have to pay a different service to schedule internet service on specific devices. My old netgear router was simple, one app to pause or schedule parental control. Never again, netgear!

2 ★ The Netgear wifi 6 router I have connected to the Netgear docsis 3.1 modem gives me faster speeds than what I pay for and best connection I have ever seen. HOWEVER- This app has only gotten worse and worse. It alerts me whenever a new device connects, and randomized mac means every time I connect I get an alert. App getting flagged for high battery use. Flagged for app crash. Can't view connected devices without paying for circle. I use my browser to log into the router. This app is useless.

1 ★ Absolute garbage. App doesn't work, which means I can't connect the range extender. Constantly says that my c7800 firmware is "Out of Date" when it isn't. That has apparently been an issue for months, and Netgear hasn't done anything. They don't care, they have your money already. Avoid this app, this company, and it's hardware. Plenty of Modem/router options out there.
