1 ★ I signed up for free 60 day trial. On the 3rd day, my trial was automatically cancelled and I was charged $21.19 for monthly payments! I asked for a new free trial, but have heard nothing back! Google refunded me the charge since it shows it was false advertising, but I was really ready to try my max trainer with the app.
1 ★ App is fundamentally broken. It doesn't adapt anything anymore, there is no coaching, the scenic trip videos are mostly roads and alleys, and it does not remember your settings. But, worst of all is the support. I emailed them all of the same issues. ... The response i got was to un install the app. Unsurprisingly, reinstalling a broken app does not help. I hope they fix it soon. I prepaid for the app annually, so really disappointed.
2 ★ This app connects to my max trainer about a third of the time, the other two thirds it says the machine is unavailable, even before it has been used. It takes some time to shut everything off, and try to reconnect. When it does work, the app is ok as an activity log, when I disconnect, the app stays active on my phone unless I restart it. It's a pretty basic app, nothing special, which based on the brand should be better and should probably be able to connect easier. I enjoy the m6 though.
4 ★ Awesome but needs more, a auto function to set resistance levels during the app would be great, If I find it I'll update to 5 stars
1 ★ App update today is horrible. The standard (non-member) programs are buried at the bottom of the list of programs and then you have to swipe left/right to get to 21min. At first glance, I didn't see option to add time to these programs like previous version. It also changed up the gage display increments. Display used to also show intervals done was removed. The interval splits also changed. to 30s sprint/60s recover and doesn't start you off in a sprint anymore. Why change the intervals? Overall, I feel like I will be searching for a different app. Love my M6 and used to love the app.
1 ★ The M6 trainer is great but this app does it no justice. The idea of having an AI trainer that adapts to your progress is great, but it's behind a paywall, and an expensive one at that. Without that feature, all the app does is mirror the machine's dashboard, and record your workout stats. There's no way to create custom workouts. Since the April 2021 "update", more "explore the world" scenes are paywalled, and you can no longer adjust the number of intervals in a workout. Truly lamentable.
2 ★ This app is pretty much a dumbed down version of what is on the bike. I cannot connect my phone to my bike because it has a screen. So if you don't have a bike with the screen, this app replaces that. I was really hoping the app would have good stats, be able to sync with other apps (strava, mapmyrun, etc) but it's really worthless if you have a bike with a screen. I really expected more user interface and abilities from a company like bowflex.
1 ★ The March 25th update ruined my M6 experience. Before the update I was very happy with custom duration max interval sessions (I would do a 15:45 max interval). The update made it next to impossible to find the max interval programs unless you watch a video of a trainer doing one. You can no longer customize the time of a max interval either. I'd give 5 stars if you restored the custom max intervals. Allowing users to control their own sprint and recover durations would be a great as well.
1 ★ Having major issues ever since the update. My membership keeps canceling through Google play and the app doesn't recognize that I've re-subscribed so it makes me go "unlock my membership", which doesn't work either because it says I've already purchased a subscription.
1 ★ The machine is great. Best cardio machine ever. The app needs a ton of work. The bluetooth constantly disconnects. Everything about this app should have been included in the $1,700 price tag. Instead, Bowflex wants to nickel and dime its customers. Once the free subscription ends, I am 100% going to cancel the subscription, at which I will be stuck with the machine that has little to no functionality because bowflex programmed all of the diversity of workouts in the app. Update: app still sucks
1 ★ Latest update is shocking. Clearly pushing you down the subscription route I wanted to do a HIT session for 30 minutes, now members only. Disgraceful If anything can we please have the old functionality to add as many intervals like the old one. We used to be able to configure them off the 21 mins interval and its no longer available.
1 ★ App update is awful, they got rid of alot of features that were free, like being able to adjust your time for interval training and what cardio zone your body was in and now they want you to join a membership for virtual coaching and to look at scenic views while running. Neither of which I want or need. Please give an option to go back to the old version.
1 ★ April 2021Update: The app has been updated and previously available material removed (or placed behind a paywall). The workout I was using is not available and the app will not allow me to set up my own workouts. Do not buy this machine, it is completely restricted by the app. Previous complaints still valid: App simply does not work as advertised. BT connection failures, cannot adjust most parameters in app to a useful outcome, incorrect feedback after a workout... the list goes on.
1 ★ Nice job BF, you destroyed a decent exercise App. The Assessment is gone, the Virtual Coach is totally out of synch with the virtual needle, and all over the place with its cues. It'll say "in 30 seconds we're going to....." then 5 seconds later, "Ok, lets......"....all while the zones on the Needle are in totally different places. Fix this or I'm cancelling my subscription and selling my M6 all while encouraging my family, neighbors, and Twitter Followers to do the same.
1 ★ Finish a workout gets stuck in a loading screen. Have close the program. Sometimes it records what I did, sometimes says I did nothing that day. Also raising resistance is hit and miss, registers on machine (I can feel it) does not change in app. I have a galaxy tab s6. So it's not like I'm using a poor device.
