Description
If you are a NAPA TRACS user, load the NAPA TRACS VIN Capture app on your mobile device(s). Next login using secure credentials that may only be found in your TRACS system in the "File, Setup, Parts Catalog" option. Enter your "PROLink ID" credentials in your mobile device(s) and once you successfully log into the app, you may begin scanning VIN's and sending them to TRACS along with optional information such as customer name, tag number, mileage, symptom and more.
NAPA TRACS is a full featured automotive shop management business software solution used by automotive shops across the country serviced by NAPA AUTO PARTS stores. To successfully use this app the following is required.
- NAPA TRACS shop management system software running version 8.0.5.4 or greater.
- If you do not have NAPA TRACS and would like more information call 800-659-3710.
- An active commercial account at a NAPA AUTO PARTS Store. If you do not have an active account, contact your nearest NAPA AUTO PARTS Store for details.

2 ★ Very glitchy. Sometimes I can enter mileage and license plate info, other times I can't. Would be much more useful if it wasn't glitchy.
1 ★ Love the app itself. It's just super buggy. A real pain in the neck to get it to work. When it does its great.
2 ★ This app is constantly having problems. I can always scan the vin but half of the time it closes right after. I have talked to the Napa Tracs people and they claim they haven't heard of any issues.

1 ★ The new update does not function at all simply will not take picture ot the barcodes
3 ★ Works good unless you walk 50 feet away to try to scan, then it just keeps "processing" and eventually gives an "error" code. And don't open the app unless you're near your router or it won't let you open it. Not practical when there is more than 1 vehicle to scan in the parking lot (50 feet away...) Android Galaxy 6
3 ★ Has a problem with Android phones. Sometimes it will just go to a black screen after scanning a vin number and just stop. I then have to go into an app killer Pp and force close it. This has happened on my ZTE Majesty running android 4.1.2 and also my new Samsung Galaxy J1 running android 5.0.3. Please fix. We are spending a ton of money on the Napa Trace software at work and this simple app is killing our production. The owners are even thinking of making the switch to Mitchell because of it.
4 ★ Use it all the time, only request I can think of though, is if the vehicle is already scanned in, that it pulls up its info rather then just telling you it's been scanned, and leaving you to scroll through to find it
2 ★ Does not work on my droid turbo. Won't read the vin and have to manually enter it. Worked great on my droid ultra. But upgraded phones and it no longer works
1 ★ It will not scan the vin, galaxy note 3 does it just fine. The app has been updated as of 2-26-15, still doesn't work with kit kat 4.4.4
