This app measures magnetic field with an fix magnetic sensor.
The magnetic field level (EMF) in nature is about 49μT(micro tesla) or 490mG(milli gauss); 1μT = 10mG. When any metal(steel, iron) is near, magnetic field level will increase.
Metal Detector & free Gold Detector help to identify any metal object in surround, because all metals generate magnetic field which strength can be measured with this tool.
How does a metal detector work?
As we know that electricity current flows through the transmitter coil, it creates a magnetic field all around it. If you sweep the metal detector above a metal object, the magnetic field penetrates right through it. The magnetic field makes easily and quickly an electric current flow inside the metal object.
