Active Coach will choose a metric for you to work on and set you a target which adapts in realtime to the difficulty and terrain placing you in the perfect flow zone. Beat your target to earn XP and compete on the XP leaderboard, enter streaks and take your skiing to the next level!
We’ve also added new leaderboards filters for Age and Gender.

5 ★ Such wonderful technology that would have cost thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars in the very recent past. I'm just blown away at how much this has helped me in such a short time. It really gamifies the user experience as well. Instead of just..."taking some runs and turns etc..." You can work on specific things like... Edge symmetry, fore-aft balance, pressure and much more. I would highly recommend this to anyone on the fence! Also make skiing by yourself way more fun and desirable
1 ★ Completely unreliable. After going through the full setup process I can successfully pair the trackers and app less than half the time. Last time I tried it, the app could not see the sensors at all. Disappointing. I wonder if the iPhone app works fine and the Android app was released before it was ready? (Samsung Galaxy S8)
1 ★ Rating 1 star here on the Play Store because you guys are gaming the system. If I choose a high rating in the app, you send me to the store, but if I choose a low rating you don't. Why don't you just focus on making a decent app, rather than gaming the system? - The lack of features, when compared with my wife's app on iPhone, is quite disappointing. - The app displays traces of multiple runs on the same run, although timing of the run seems correct. Basically, it's making a mess.
5 ★ I ordered my system this year and had my first chance to use it. I loved it! It gives you notes/score after every run what to improve on the next run. I was looking forward to the lift to hear my automatic feedback on my run I just had. It knew what resort I was at, what runs I took, a complete track of my day along with the coaching. I felt I improved more in 1 short day than years of skiing on my own. Without having a coach in your boots, no one can really tell what you're doing.
3 ★ The setup process was easy. The instructions are solid when the apps work. I noticed the app has a problem when I switch mode. Sometimes it was shut down by itself. This is a pain because it would causw me to lose my rhythm. Hopefully, carv we'll make the Android app more reliable soon. Otherwise, the equipment is useless.
5 ★ Absolutely unbelievable what they've accomplished here. In just a few weeks my skiing has already greatly improved. More importantly it's just plain fun to ski with carv. Especially on solo days or when you just want to push yourself and get into the zone of improving your technique. I thought there was no way it would be as good as it sounds but am surprised to say it's actually quite a bit better.
1 ★ WARNING, WARNING I strongly recommend people not buy Carv. When it works its great, but I have encountered a hardware issue their support network is completely unresponsive to. My prepaid subscription is worthless since the hardware won't function. Their only communication is through the app messaging and isn't timely enough to keep a consistent thread with a customer service rep, and I am now beyond annoyed with the sticker price I have paid for a device that I won't get to use this season.
5 ★ this app give you the skier direct input while your skiing in real time. As a beginner skier, I have improve so much and for far less that having a coach ski and watch you go down the slopes, then tell you what you are or not doing right. this app also give you drills to work on the things you need help on and has levels to keep challenging you to get better.
5 ★ This worked exactly as described on their website and videos. I used it with a pixel 4a 5g and had no issues during a week at big sky. It is not only a cool coaching tool but its also useful at tracking your skiing from which lift I took and which run I went down. And stats for each run including length, descent, top speed, etc. I enjoyed looking at my stats after a day on the slopes almost as much as I liked the coaching.
5 ★ At launch, this app was not ready for primetime but in only a few short weeks CARV have turned it around big time. The Android version is now on par with the long established iPhone app in terms of features and reliability. Battery drain issues have been resolved on my Galaxy S7 and CARV support were impeccable throughout my dealings with them. The whole system is so data rich you will be left in no doubt of your strengths and weaknesses as a skiier.
5 ★ Having used Carv for 6 weeks I've experienced my skiing abilities improve dramatically. Not only has Carv taught me through the training and drills, but because of the continual recording of each run using Free Ski Mode, I find myself resisting the sloppy skiing that comes towards the end of the day. Essentially, Carv has improved my enjoyment of each day on the mountain.
1 ★ Great idea in theory but the app keeps saving batteries by putting itself to sleep while standing in left lines and then I don't get any tracking for the day So really I'm just charging things and then it decides to save the battery instead of use the battery. The app needs an ability to tell it never to sleep just like my Garmin and Fitbit carries on tracking until I tell it to stop tracking
5 ★ UPDATE: (original review below) - Still love it. My Carv has helped my skiing improve to a point where I needed to get stiffer boots (moving from a 100 to a 120 flex) so I can get more aggressive on my skis. Looked in my Carv box and there are 2 more sets of sticky tabs so I can transfer to my new boots without needing anything else!! East Coast skiier who can't wait for our first trip out West - 60 more hours!! (2022) Love the Carv app. Has helped me greatly improve my skiing!

3 ★ In theory great, in practice is buggy/unreliable with awful troubleshooting/help desk.
