Description
A grand mansion … a dastardly murder … a gathering of suspicious characters. Play Hasbro’s beloved board game together with family and friends on the big screen with the local multiplayer mode for Nintendo Switch™ and Steam®!
Use the official Companion app as your game controller and personal Clue sheet for local multiplayer games. Take notes, eliminate red herrings and make brilliant deductions. Gather your detectives in the same room and play together, but keep your notes secret.
It’s easy to get started. Launch Cluedo: The Classic Mystery Game on Nintendo Switch or Steam®. Select Play with Friends from the main menu and Host a Local Game. Open the Companion app and enter the passcode to join the lobby. You can connect up to 6 smartphones as controllers to play together.
Use the Companion app as your personal controller for local multiplayer games.
Pick your character, choose from Miss Scarlett, Colonel Mustard, Mrs Peacock, Mr Green, Dr Orchid, Professor Plum, and many more.
On your turn roll the dice to move around the mansion and ask questions: “I suggest it was Miss Scarlett, with the Rope, in the Study!”
Use the innovative logic-assisted virtual Clue Sheet that allows for advanced note-taking.
Watch everyone’s actions play out on the big screen.
This app supports local multiplayer only, it’s not compatible with the single player mode.

3 ★ Love the game but when it comes to local play, this app falls through. The app ran fine and then all of a sudden I was having trouble scrolling on my sheet, then it would put info in that I didn't put in, because of the lag. Then I try to scroll again - its now circled one of the cards. Sometimes I can't even get into the cluesheet or have to press 8 times to insert a ? Or number into the block. It really slows down the game for me and so I can't keep up, especially when it's AI's turn. Pls fix
1 ★ Game is full of bugs can't even start a game. It's a shame we spent $30 on switch to play with friends and family and we can't even get a game started. Pass codes don't work for rooms and if some get into a room others can't. Then host will somehow leave room when noone has left. Or game just flat out crashes and won't work. Highly disappointed here.
1 ★ Awful. Save your money and wait for the bugs to be fixed. The potential is there for a great multi-player game but this falls extremely short because of all the bugs. Was given invalid codes everytime we went to log in, would get kicked out randomly or end up in another groups lobby, or the game would crash completely before a game was even started. Horrible horrible horrible.
5 ★ Works worth the switch. Honestly this was the only way we were ankle to play because the internet hiccups were disconnecting our switches. May I suggest a local game with no internet required for multiple switches that have a copy of the game? Also we were led to believe that you couldn't play with multiple people on a single Switch from the description. But that's a different issue, the app is decent. 5 Stars.
2 ★ Its playable most of the time, but there are still sync issues and is easy for someone to accidentally leave the game with no way to return. Should be fixed, takes 3 or 4 tries to play join a game successfully
1 ★ Does not work for me or my wife. We can join a game, but not roll dice or interact with the game once turns start. I would not have spent money on the Switch game if I knew local multiplayer was completely broken.
4 ★ It was a little difficult at first to get it to sync with the code from Nintendo Switch, but once we got it to work then it was great. Played with 3 players on mobile phones while hosting the game on the switch. A little strange at first, but overall worked great. Biggest challenge was getting the players to join with the code.
1 ★ This app does not work at all. Got the game half off for $20 on switch. The switch can barely make it into the menu without crashing to the home screen, and if it does, the passcode to join a local game simply does not work. I got it to let me in once after trying dozens of times but it then crashed on the loading screen. Absolute waste of money.
4 ★ Hi! I really love the game of clue but it seems to be having an issue where sometimes it won't allow me and my family to play local multiplayer. It works most of the time, but every once in a while it won't allow us to play.
4 ★ I bought the game to play with my family and we absolutely love it, although we are having a problem with the app freezing. I closed the app and tried to put in the code for the room again and it won't let me in. Kind of sucks when your in the middle of a game, and you've almost have the murder figured out. Please fix!
1 ★ Literally can't even play. Get to the "choose your character" screen, and then nothing happens. Get a loud bell sound when choosing, but then absolutely nothing happens and I can't even go back to the title screen as the back button doesn't work. Complete waste of money on the switch since we literally bought it just to play local and can't.
1 ★ I never leave reviews but seeing how this cost us $20 I want to prevent others from spending their money. We bought this game to play as a family, and it would not even allow us in the game to play. It stated we had the wrong password everytime we tried even though we typed in the numbers exactly as shown. We wanted to play just as a family, but you could see other people somehow joining in. I'm very upset we cant get a refund for this game since we didnt get anything out of it but frustration.
2 ★ When I come back to this game, I'll change my review if it works better. It took more tries than I can count to get a local game going on mobile devices without glitches, and we had to settle for no AI. I'd give more specific feedback if asked. I'd love to make this game better, it's a great concept. Playing with Switch game.
1 ★ This game took far too long to get three players connected. Numerous game codes that did not work. Inappropriate named players were allowed to join our game. Finally started a game and one of the players lost connection and was unable to rejoin. Extremely disappointed in the game itself and with Nintendo eshop for allowing this game to be on their store when it is clearly lacking.
1 ★ 40 EUR for a game that constantly crashes, freezes, looses connections and darkens the screen on switch. Nice game, but horribly instable and definitely not worth 40 EUR.
