Worldwide movement and strong local presence - the networked structure of the Austrian Red Cross Regional Association Tyrol enables the diversity of international, regional and local commitment:

The regional association of Tyrol is a member of the Austrian Red Cross and, as an umbrella organization, unites all 11 district offices that have their own legal personality in the federal state of Tyrol. These in turn include 45 Tyrolean Red Cross local offices.

The entire Austrian Red Cross works on a non-profit basis and is not aimed at profit. The activities of the Tyrolean regional association are diverse: it is not directly involved in rescue and patient transport - that is the responsibility of the district offices - but it operates, for example, the emergency doctor system Tirol Mitte.

Furthermore, the Tyrolean regional association runs the blood donation system, is responsible for the enlistment of civil servants, trains these and many other internal employees in the Red Cross Academy and also runs the integrative children's day center "Seifenblase".
