The Shroud is one of the most studied objects in our world.
The Holy Mantle or Shroud, a strong and sustained tradition identifies as mantle wrapped the body of Jesus, is a thin piece of linen 3 feet 7 inches wide and 14 feet and three inches long (exactly 8 2 cubits, the measure used in ancient Israel).
The mantle carries detailed image of the front and back of a man who was crucified identically Jesus of Nazareth as described Scripture.
The mantle is in Tuprín, Italy, from 1578 and is put on public display about once every generation. The last prior to the extraordinary exhibition is being done in preparation for the Jubilee took place in 1978, and in five weeks, about 3 and 1/2 million pilgrims visited.
In order to determine the way in which the image was printed on the sheet, over 1000 scientists of diverse specialties investigations have been carried out and they have taken 32,000 photographs.
These investigations have made the Shroud the most studied relic of history.
