What's new in Land Rover InControl Remote 1.90.0
We upgraded the interface between the app and “the cloud”. Please note that this is a mandatory update and that previous versions of the app will stop working shortly.
Please update to the new version as soon as possible.
Remote App will now be supported on Android OS version 5.x or later to meet higher security requirements of our backend systems. This release and future updates will not be available on older versions of Android.

Description
• Prepare for a trip by checking the fuel level, range and dashboard alerts
• Locate your vehicle on a map and get walking directions back to it
• Check if you left any windows or doors open
• Download your journey information to assist in claiming business expenses
• In the event of a breakdown, request Optimised Land Rover Assistance
For vehicles with InControl Remote Premium the following additional features are available:
• Check on your vehicle security status and lock/unlock your vehicle if required
• Cool or heat your vehicle to the desired temperature prior to your journey.(Availability
and function depending on vehicle capability)
• Reset your vehicle’s alarm if it has accidentally triggered
• Locate your vehicle in a crowded car park with the ‘beep and flash’ functionality
Download the App and log in using your Land Rover InControl™ username and password. This App requires one of the following packages fitted to the vehicle:
• InControl Protect
• InControl Remote
• InControl Remote Premium

If you do not currently own a Land Rover fitted with Land Rover InControl™ Protect you can still install this App and try the demo mode.

App permissions
Land Rover InControl Remote 1.90.0 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an application to read or write the system settings.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows an application to expand or collapse the status bar.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
Allows an application to read from external storage.

4 ★ I frequently forget whether I locked the car. This app can check the vehicle status and even start the engine remotely to warm or cool the interior. It's a shame that the Discovery Sport HSE 2020 ships with an outdated 3G SIM slot.
1 ★ The app will not let me create an account. The message says that I need to open and review the terms. I have tried everything...this is just sad. Maybe it is not compatible Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra?
1 ★ What a waste of time. It does not work when you want it to. Mine has stopped working for the last two months. I have searched for all the help online. JLR also does not have any clear solution for this issue.
4 ★ Good app but could do with a few more features such as turning other parts of the car on remotely (seats).
5 ★ change the password, with a computer and was no problem, no more bugs or fail log in, if you have problem log in try from your computer ....
1 ★ App will not let me enter my PIN to start my car. I bought a really expensive car that was supposed to have remote start. It's 100 degrees in Texas. This is a deal-killer for me. Fix the App!! I may never buy another Rover again.
1 ★ Won't let me register. Totally useless. I wanted the remote start option, unavailable otherwise, but I can not creature an account.

1 ★ There is a new app available. Just discovered recently. No one from the dealership or Range rover services notified, even knowing so many people have had issues with this app version.

5 ★ You have to create the account via desktop as the mobile app won't let you do that. It's great once it's working.
