On Android 4.1 and 4.2, ROOT is required for those mark with asterisk *. After grant the ROOT permission, you need to restart Light Manager for changes to take effect. However ROOT is not required anymore from Android 4.3 onwards. You need to enable the Notification Access for Light Manager at Setting > Security > Notification Access > Light Manager.
There are three operating modes:
1) Normal Mode - Only LED color for the first notification will be flashing
2) Alternating Mode - A few LED colors will be flashing alternately when multiple notifications are received
3) Screen Mode - Notifications alert will be shown on screen (For those devices without a physical notification LED, only available for Android 4.3 and above)
You may go to the test section to test whether this app works for your device.
For Samsung devices:
- Device's screen needs to be turned off in order for the notification LED to work
- You need to go to Setting > Display > LED indicator and enable "Notifications" in order for this application to work

Light Manager 2 130.1 APK requires following permissions:
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.
Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.

5 ★ Deserves 5 stars. Went from Galaxy s5 to pixel and been missing my led lights! So glad I found this after hours of search. Always on display wasn't for me, this is.
4 ★ Can you remove the permanent notification? Edit: Yes, sure. But there is still a permanent bar in the notification that you can't remove. Is it an android thing?

4 ★ Its a good app i understand google has its policy but gol dang ive never been so annoyed of an app icon in my status bar/notifications. Just wow haha it keeps trying to be on top of my notifications but my texts want priority so they battle to see who is can stay on top. I think im going to go back to the first light manager
4 ★ Time will tell if this is an improvement over the original Light Manager app. How donyou disable the app's notification icon? I don't want to see it in my bar nor do I want to see the blank spot when the icon is hidden. There needs to be an option to now show it or the blank space it creates.
