Description
From Android 8.0 the feature "Double tap to screen on" no longer works.

+ Doubletap to Screen On
+ Doubletap to Screen Off only works on Home Screen and Lock Screen
[Note]
+ This app uses Accessibility services. You need to enable accessibility service to the app can catch event when having a notification and when you are staying on the home screen(the app only works on the home screen).This ONLY uses for features of the app. No other information is processed from this permission.
+ The app makes error fingerprint so you should turn off fingerprint before using this app
+ This app uses the Device Administrator permission to you can use the feature Double tap screen off.
+ Default the app use Triple Tap to Screen Off that make avoid some error related touch but you can change a number of taps in the app to Double Tap.
+ To Deactivate/Activate double tap to lock you can click the notification of this. When you are typing text on the home screen you should do this or change number of tap to avoid screen off.
+ To uninstall the app you can click the button "Uninstall" in-app or go to "System Settings—>Security—>Device Administrators" to uncheck Administrator permission for Double Tap To Lock and after uninstalling Double Tap To Lock app same as normal way. If you can't deactivate Device Administrator please try to restart your device to retry or send feedback to me to receive more support.

Double Tap Screen On and Off 1.1.3.9 APK requires following permissions:
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
Allows an application to collect component usage statistics
Declaring the permission implies intention to use the API and the user of the device can grant permission through the Settings application.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an application to request deleting packages.

5 ★ Works well on my tablet. I have an lg phone with this feature and I use it so much. It's nice especially with this big tablet cause the power button is hard to find. I'm only bummed that the tap on feature will use more battery, but I understand why.

4 ★ i love this app...because this is the only app which is working on a cheap and old local phone available in Philippines. The reason why I gave it only 4 stars is that, it cannot not automatically turn your cheap and old local phone ON. (But atleast, it would turn your phone on, right?) Or maybe, I think I just need to change my phone now. 🤔😁 I am grateful because of this app. 🤗

5 ★ This is superb and amazing and works fine to me. The only problem is that it consumes lot of energy and drains mobile battery so fast other than that everything is good and ok

I do not know if you have noticed this but when you tap on the screen the screen goes off but it doesn't really it's off completely you can see some light on the border of the screen it is black but apparently backlight is on to a certain point you can find this if you use this application in a dark room at least this has been my experience with this app
4 ★ Better than all double tap apps It does double tap on well and off But u have to keep setting double tap on especially it if phone shuts down.

5 ★ It does the job I wanted - Double Tap to wake the screen. I was missing this functionality on my new phone. I'm yet to check the battery consumption of this feature. Hope it is OK.

1 ★ Great app but its bugged, when fixed only lock on home screen is enabled, sometimes tap to lock does not work, also it seems to randomly gets disabled. If this bug gets fix, how to buy the no-ads version?
4 ★ I like this app because it works properly on my phone and my phone power button is not working from couple of days and I was worried and starting my phone again and again on charging and then it lit up, so this is a perfect solution of my problem.
2 ★ In my phone (Lenovo K8 Note), it only helps to wake the screen up, but while double tapping on home screen in order to lock the phone, it mostly doesn't work ! Disappointed !
2 ★ There is no turning screen on functions when I downloaded. All functions point to turning the screen off.
