Kambamayana is a Tamil text written by Kambar. The book is composed of one of the Hindu temples, Ramayana. Valmiki Muni, composer of the original Ramayana, was composed by Ramayana in Vadakara.
Kambar had set this book with some variations from the original source of the literary language of North India. The ramayam of Kambar is known as Kamparai.

Kambayamayam consists of six kandas and a hundred and fifty (119) panels of Bala Kandam, Ayodhya Kandam, Aranya Kandam, Kitkinta Kandam, Sundara Kandam, Warana Kandam.
