What's new in Bluetooth Detection - Tasker Plug-In 4.1.1
This release is really just to fix a couple crashes - I'm working on something bigger. When I'm nearing completion, there will be an announcement in the app, so remember to open the app occasionally so you see the note.
Note: If you are on a rooted device running Android 4.4.2, you might want to pass on this update. I'll update once Google fixes their support library.

Description
Bluetooth Detection is an add-on app for Tasker or Locale that lets you set conditions based on connected or nearby Bluetooth devices.
Please note: this is a plug-in. You MUST have either Locale or Tasker installed for this to work. It is built as a plug-in for either of these, and will never function on its own. If you don't understand what Locale or Tasker are, then please do not install this plug-in.
When you use Bluetooth Detection within Tasker or Locale, you can create a profile that lets you act upon Bluetooth connections or nearby devices. For example, you can use Locale to start playing music when a connection is made to your car's Bluetooth audio profile, or enable work mode when near your work laptop.
Tasker users might ask, "So what makes this different from the native functionality in Tasker?" The answer is mainly "ease of use" - not everyone wants to type in a MAC ID :). But there are also some features that I think are unique. Some examples: you can select class of device, so that (for instance) any A2DP connection triggers a task, or you can specify that you only care about a connection to your car's BT when it's the Hands-Free profile. You can also set a delay on unsetting the condition, and all of this is done in a very user-friendly interface. And you also get a local Tasker Variable with the name of the last connected device.
Note for Tasker Users: Once installed, you can find Bluetooth Detection by going to Profiles, and adding a "State" condition. Within the pop-up that appears, you will see a button labeled "Plugin." Tap that, and you will see "Bluetooth Detection."

5 ★ Works great for me. Does exactly what I wanted. Nologer having the pesky intermitant problem where my phone would sometimes connect to my device as phone audio only when I primarily use it for media audio. Well worth the 1.50 euros to fix that issue.
5 ★ Works perfectly. Using Tasker, once this add-on detects a BT connection, among other things, I'm then able to store the name of the connected device in a variable then use that variable in other tasks - thus allowing different behaviours based on which device I'm connected to.
5 ★ Hi, quick question...will this automatically turn on BT when the paired device is nearby? I'm having trouble doing that, pls provide the tasker setup to do that?
3 ★ Never turns on when near to my car Bluetooth. Not sure what the issue is a even the general functionality does not work with tasker so purchased this, so that it will work but failed that too.

5 ★ This does a much better job of detecting BT events then Automagic's built-in method. Also it's very compatible with Automagic.

5 ★ This plug in for Locale works very well... Much more reliable than others. But what makes this one truly better is the active support of the developer. All too often, an app is released and then essentially abandoned. Not this developer... They remain active in supporting and improving the plug in.
3 ★ I have an issue where it didn't detect a device is in range or connected in lollipop. Using tasker plugin. Not sure if it's user error or a problem with the plugin
