Bling SMS - Customize text messages 1.1.3 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to read SMS messages.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an application to monitor incoming MMS messages.
Allows an application to receive SMS messages.
Allows an application to send SMS messages.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to collect component usage statistics
Declaring the permission implies intention to use the API and the user of the device can grant permission through the Settings application.

5 ★ Still new to me, but love all the customizing options, works great so far. Liking it more than my other messaging app.
5 ★ Just set this app as my default sms seems pretty good, you can change appearance,text input ,very pleased with it thank you Barrie from Grimsby UK
3 ★ So I'm not quite sure what to rate this, it's just a version of QKSMS since the application is open source and the code is available online. There's been a few small things changed. The pop-up still doesn't work for replying to messages on Android 10 which is a known issue in QKSMS as well. There's no automatic contact colors, and the color selection screen looks different.
5 ★ So far I am loving Joy SMS. I just wish you could do a little bit more with customization but I can't complain much because I receive messages and there are no annoying ads like other text message apps. I'm sure the app designer/developer will do some updates and make this app even better.
1 ★ Originally a 5* app but the recent update has made fullscreen ads appear. Switching to back to QKsms which this app was forked from the open source code, theirs no chance I'm watching an ad so that I can reply to a message. Also the last 2 updates provided no information on what's been change/fixed.
3 ★ Disappointed with all interrupting adds. I sms a lot and makes me loose track at times. It's an add on top inside the app. Not enough? Like the archive option but considering to change as the interruptions are frustrating 😤
2 ★ I can't send MMS or video. Had to go back and send it with my native Android SMS. And the "Tap to retry" function isn't working. Also, it won't open a vcard someone sent me.
3 ★ So far it's seamless. Great app. Reduced from 5* to 3*, starting to get anoying video ads, and I suspect Google has their hand in this.
5 ★ Absolutely Wonderful. I love this App. It's Terrific.
5 ★ Does what it's supposed to. With other messaging apps, I did not get all messages with group texts. This one seems to get all group texts as well as individual texts. That was the main reason I found this.

2 ★ I love the look of the app. But it doesn't function well. Lags a lot and freezes.
3 ★ Was ok. Then l get a new person sms me. I can't see how to make a New contact with that number. It seems l can only add to existing contacts. Please advise!
3 ★ This has alit of growing to do. It's a nice start but hardly any options as far as personalizing goes. Has potential tho.
