App permissions

G-REMOTE 3.12 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to know what content is playing and control its playback.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

3 ★ Great app. But it needs work. I have disabled the notifications on the app but I'm stil hearing that annoying text to voice notifications.

1 ★ Device offline. Cannot open gate. I live in a complex. When will this be fixed?

1 ★ Dear all, I stay in a Complex and since the move over we have had numerous instances where the app just does not connect. This happens for many users in the complex simultaneously so its not a phone issue. This is very bad if you leave for the airport or worse come back at night and are stuck at the gate. Perhaps for home use where one has got control over the setup and administration it could be better, but for a Complex I could not recommend.

5 ★ Love the app and the G-Ultra. Only issue is if anything g goes wrong, the logs in the app are all at ZA times. No good as we are in Australia. Will this be fixed soon?

1 ★ I have experienced the same issues as Christo van Rensburg Some time ago, the gate open several minutes after I tried to open it using the app

3 ★ Lots of struggling but if it works it is fantastic. Cannot get it to work on Samsung s9 Android version 8.0 I tried it on Nokia 8 Android version 8.1 and my button show and work. I also tried it on a Samsung S5 and it works just fine. Setup and authorised program. Doesn't want to work.

1 ★ G speak ultra 2G Here is my story, i installed the unit and i was having challenges of network but i bought different network simcard, but the unit is still giving me data of the previous network and what irritates me the most is the app, you always get a notification of saying the device is offline for hours or even days and comes back for 2 minutes then disappear again, please assist i cant use my app and i linked electric fence with it, i can switch it on or off when i am away, please assist

1 ★ I keep getting voice notifications even though I disabled ALL notifications in the app and my phone is on Silent AND "Do Not Disturb".

1 ★ I'm using Samsung A70, the App always freezes and I have to delete and reinstall it, which process I have done more than 10 times since July 2019, very frustrating needless to say I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed

1 ★ Can't even get the OTP to even get started on the app. Pretty rubbish already. If i could give 0 stars i would Doesn't even give a error. Put in my phone number and wait for the msg to enter the OTP nothing coming through. Been like 9hrs and still nothing

4 ★ app has stopped working after recent update "error in communication, please check network" deleted and re installed . entered phone number goes to otp and the "error in communication" again and cannot get any further. Internet connection is fine :(

5 ★ Before you leave negative remarks, make sure that your installer or technician knows what they are doing. Surely if a company install the unit they must do a proper setup. Best GSM unit available on the market.

3 ★ Remove the text to speech please, everytime a device goes offline or online I get this voice telling me it's back up. This is really annoying and when you are in a public place or meeting it gets distracting

1 ★ With a stable network connection, the app crashes upon requesting the OTP code. Samsung S4, doesnt work on Wifi and doesnt work on mobile data. REPLY 15/5/19: The region is in Australia +61. It still doesn't work.
