The free PayPal Zettle app comes with a range of great features:

A clear pricing model without fixed costs or fixed contracts. The Zettle Reader meets all requirements from the payment industry and is EMV-approved and PCI DSS-compliant.

3 ★ Unhappy with what it does sometimes. It's delays payment often. It's really disgusting when customer has to wait longer to be able to make payment.
1 ★ Used to work great, now you'd be hard pressed to get it connected to you phone. Can take up to 10 minutes to connect. Can't afford to be waiting around for it, I'll be switching to another provider.
4 ★ Great app but needs a couple of features adding. • The ability to import contacts from the phones contact list. • The ability to pay via bank transfer when charging the client, to help with book keeping.
1 ★ App worked perfectly until the recent update. Now the option to email a receipt has disappeared. Please fix.
4 ★ Since the latest update the app takes longer to load. Waiting with customer until it does. Once loaded everything is great.
1 ★ Trying to update zettle reader 2. Update getting to 30% then stops, reader says please wait then the download starts again.. been doing this for two days now...
1 ★ One time is working, 10 times not! I don't recommend it at all! And client service? A disaster!!! Very disappointed!
2 ★ The app is ok and suits most needs. The problem is the card reader. It constantly drops the Bluetooth connection and won't reconnect. You have to reset Bluetooth but won't know how until you contact their support, which is only available week days during office hours losing you money through lost payments. I spent more time trying to fix reader than taking payments and have now switched to another provider.
3 ★ Wont install on my Samsung tablet running Android 4.4.4. The app isnt listed for it.
3 ★ Great when it works! I spend more time apologising to customers about the card reader not connecting than actually taking payments. Everything is up to date, charged etc. Very frustrating and looking at other readers as I've lost customers because of this.
2 ★ No smart fault resolution in app & reader. Can lose sales with the device showing 'welcome' on screen with phone Bluetooth on but no connection due to device glitching. I expected something rock steady from PayPal. This isn't.
4 ★ Pretty intuitive an easy to use. Could do with the ability to scale icons in the app interface. They are the same size on mobile phone as a 10" tablet so my POS Is all empty white space.
5 ★ It's a great app and saved me a lot of money
4 ★ Has been good until now. Currently the izettle card reader is connected to the tablet and all the firmware is up to date. When customer s tap their card it says the sale is completed but when you check the reposts no money has been taken. You are usually able to see this straight away, how even I gave it an hour or so and still no money is showing. I also waited until the end of the day and the transaction still didn't show. I went online to fix this issue and there isn't any support for this.
2 ★ You need to sort out the Bluetooth connection issues. My PayPal reader is solid, reliable and always connects pretty much instantly. Both of my iZettle card reader 2's behave exactly the same. I and everyone else wants to turn the reader and open the app and it too connect and work straight away, not have the reader say "welcome!" all the time whilst it decides if it feels like connecting. Until this is sorted, I can't recommend an iZettle reader to anyone.
